As a seasoned movie buff who has spent countless hours lost in the fantastical worlds of celluloid, I must admit that the prospect of watching Election Day coverage live holds about as much appeal to me as a remake of “The Godfather” starring Justin Bieber as Don Vito Corleone.
If you’re hankering for Election Day coverage details, here’s a suggestion: Instead, maybe you could take a leisurely walk with someone dear, revisit a beloved book, or embark on an adventure with an old rowboat in the heart of a tranquil lake, unleashing the loudest yell your body allows. A few thoughts to ponder.
Once you’ve completed your tasks, here’s where you can view the live election results on Tuesday, November 5. You’ll also have an opportunity to experience the voting process in a virtual environment, if you find our world not thrilling enough.
Coverage on ABC network initiates at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, spearheaded by David Muir, the anchor and managing editor of World News Tonight. Starting at 8 a.m. ET, ABC News Live (available on Disney+ and Hulu) will commence its Election Day streaming coverage.
CBS and CBS News around the clock will kick off their prime-time Election Night coverage at 7 p.m. Eastern Time. Norah O’Donnell will be your host from CBS News’ studio in New York City. Furthermore, CBS Stations are introducing an advanced reality (AR/VR) presidential election coverage center in selected locations for the first time.
On November 4th, American Election Day, CNN initiates their extensive coverage at 12:00 AM Eastern Time, featuring Boris Sanchez and Jessica Dean. The broadcast continues throughout the day. Starting at 4:00 PM ET, Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper will be your co-anchors for the Election Night in America program. From 7:00 PM ET onwards, CNN’s Network Election Night coverage will become available via Max (with a subscription) as well as on CNN.com and the CNN app, without needing a cable subscription.
C-SPAN will cover the presidential as well as state races beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, NBC will provide comprehensive coverage of the 2024 elections around the clock, airing on NBC, NBC News Now, and NBCNews.com. Hallie Jackson and Tom Llamas will initiate the event, with Lester Holt from NBC Nightly News and Savannah Guthrie from Today joining them at 6:30 p.m. ET. Peacock, popular for its multi-view experience during the 2024 Paris Olympics, will also bring this feature to Election Night. In addition, NBC’s social media program Stay Tuned will introduce a new “24 in 24” segment on Snapchat and YouTube, focusing on how 24 Gen-Z influencers are impacting this election. On Election Day, MSNBC will have prime-time coverage starting from 6 p.m. Eastern Time. If you’re an early riser on Tuesday, you can catch “Way Too Early” with John Lemire at 5 a.m. ET, followed by “Morning Joe” featuring Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, and Willie Geist at 6 a.m.
On November 5th, Telemundo is scheduled to air its Decision 2024 election coverage across the Telemundo network, the streaming channel Noticias Telemundo AHORA, and NoticiasTelemundo.com. The live coverage on Noticias Telemundo AHORA will commence at 4 PM Eastern Time, while prime-time coverage with anchors Julio Vaqueiro and Arantxa Loizaga will begin at 7 PM Eastern Time.
On Election Night, Amazon Prime Video is set to air “Election Night Live With Brian Williams,” an extended 10-hour broadcast originating live from a studio in Los Angeles, and it’s completely free! The coverage kicks off at 5 PM Eastern Time.
Beginning at 6 PM Eastern Time, NewsNation kicks off their first presidential election coverage as a round-the-clock network, with Chris Cuomo, Elizabeth Vargas, and Leland Vittert anchoring the event.
