As a seasoned cinephile who’s spent more hours than I care to admit poring over crime dramas, this stacked cast of “Crime 101” has me positively giddy with anticipation! With veterans like Jennifer Jason Leigh and Nick Nolte joining forces with the dynamic duo of Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo, not to mention the talents of Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, and Halle Berry, this film promises a rollercoaster ride of suspense, intrigue, and perhaps a dash of humor.

Amazon Studios’ feature film “Crime 101” is rounding out its cast.

As a passionate film aficionado, I’m thrilled to share that some incredible talents have joined the cast of our upcoming crime thriller set to hit the big screen. Jennifer Jason Leigh, known for her gripping performances in “The Hateful Eight” and “Fargo,” is on board. So is Nick Nolte, whose powerful roles in “Warrior” and “Graves” captivated audiences.

In addition to Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, and Halle Berry, another cast member has been added to the project. Bart Layton, known for “American Animals” and “The Imposter,” is the scriptwriter and director. The story is based on a novella by Don Winslow.

According to the plot summary, Winslow’s initial tale revolves around a string of sophisticated jewelry heists along the Pacific Coast Highway, which have remained unsolved for years due to a mastermind who adheres to a strict set of rules known as ‘Crime 101.’ The authorities suspect these crimes are linked to Colombian cartels, but Detective Lou Lubesnick has an intuition that only one person is responsible. Now, this solitary jewel thief is on the hunt for the elusive ultimate heist, and Lou disregards all the rules of Crime 101 in response.

Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner of Working Title, Shane Salerno from The Story Factory, Bart Layton and Dimitri Doganis of RAW, as well as Derrin Schlesinger and the Hemsworth-Grayson duo of Wild State will be the producers. Joely Fether from RAW will serve as executive producer.

Jennifer Jason Leigh is managed by Untitled Entertainment and Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Nick Nolte is also under CAA, with additional representation from Jackoway Austin Tyerman.
