Turn-based hand-drawn RPG VED launches on November 14 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of gaming under my belt, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement as I delve into the vibrant and mysterious world of VED. The hand-drawn art and animation, coupled with turn-based combat mechanics, have me yearning for a return to the classic RPG days.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the developers at Karaclan and new publishers Fulqrum Publishing are dropping VED on November 14! This action-packed adventure will be playable on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic. The game was first revealed back in February 2021, and since then, it’s switched publishers. As we speak, a demo for this highly anticipated RPG is available on Steam, so go check it out!

In Micropolis, a man named Cyrus finds himself with an extraordinary power – the ability to teleport between two interconnected realms. One realm is inhabited by humans like him, while the other is a fantastical land of floating islands populated by mysterious creatures and dangerous beasts. Eager to uncover the secrets of this new world, Cyrus embarks on an adventure to explore it further.

During his adventure, he’ll face numerous adversaries solo. The players make decisions about his actions in a turn-based system, as each fight is accompanied by detailed, hand-drawn artwork and animations. As Cyrus progresses, he uncovers new skills and abilities, expanding his combat repertoire to help him endure.

Fulqrum Publishing and Karaclan are thrilled to share the exciting news: Their role-playing game (RPG), VED, is ready to debut on various platforms! This includes Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox consoles, as well as PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GoG.

Showcasing beautiful, handcrafted artwork and animation, VED offers strategic turn-based battles and roguelike characteristics, narrating the tale of Cyrus, a courageous youth embarking on a journey to master both sword and sorcery, with the ultimate goal of saving all that he holds dear from impending ruin.

Cyrus has arrived in the city of Micropolis in search of a new life – but gets more than he bargained for, as he suddenly discovers the ability to teleport between two interconnected worlds – the world of humans, and a magical world full of mysterious flying islands, strange creatures, and dangerous monsters. From there he sets off on a journey where each decision matters, as the player works to help Cyrus discover the truth about this magical place, and decide the fate of the two worlds. To succeed in his quest, Cyrus will need to master the powerful magic of the Veds.

In this game, the massive, captivating environment, characters, and visual style draw inspiration from various cultures and legends worldwide. During Cyrus’s journey, he’ll meet numerous factions with contrasting perspectives on the unfolding events. By assisting inhabitants of enchanted realms and the human world, Cyrus will gain insights into himself, both universes, and crucially, how to save them – or potentially bring about their destruction.

On November 14th, the game VED is set to debut on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox platforms, as well as on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG for PC users.
