My Hero Academia delays ending commemoration projects to later in 2025

As a long-time follower of My Hero Academia, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing the news about the delayed release of the final fan book and art book. On one hand, I understand that Kohei Horikoshi has poured his heart and soul into this masterpiece for years, and it’s only fair that he takes a well-deserved break after the conclusion of the manga.

The final fan book and art book for My Hero Academia, which were intended as concluding tributes, have been postponed and are not expected to be released until towards the end of 2025.

In August 2024, My Hero Academia’s manga came to an end. Following this, Shueisha announced a special fan book and art book as final installments. The anticipated fan book, slated for release in January 2025, will delve deep into the characters, storylines, and exclusive behind-the-scenes information.

Apart from that, it’s anticipated that the first art book for this manga will come out in April 2025, showcasing a variety of Horikoshi’s artwork. Moreover, the final volume 42, set to be released on December 4, 2025, will contain an extra 60 pages as bonus content.

Due to the mangaka having an overloaded schedule from additional tasks, the release of the fan books and art book has been postponed.

“It’s unclear as to why he decided to take on so many tasks immediately after finishing his series; perhaps it would be better for him to take some time off.

It’s perfectly fine – I’ve got plenty of time, plenty of time! Your heads-up is much appreciated. It just means more anticipation,” added another.
