As a die-hard fan who’s followed Oz Cobb’s chaotic journey since the beginning, I can’t help but feel a knot in my stomach as I watch the trailer for The Penguin Episode 7. The guy just can’t catch a break! From dodging bullets to outsmarting enemies, he’s been through the wringer. But now, it seems like the storm of his life is about to hit him full force.
In Episode 7 of The Penguin, Oz Cobb’s narrative appears poised for a significant turning point – judging from the trailer, it seems that he may face the heartbreaking loss of someone dear to him.
In The Penguin’s tale, I’ve barely escaped danger time and again by a hair’s breadth. I took the life of Alberto Falcone, yet somehow contrived to shift the blame onto Sofia Falcone’s trusted confidant. To avoid detection, I found myself in an uneasy alliance with her until Salvatore Maroni’s wife exposed me. Remarkably, even then, I managed to stay alive and keep moving forward.
Following another act of treachery towards Sofia, they’ve been estranged. Sofia expanded her Gigante enterprise and formed an alliance with Salvatore, while Oz has sought refuge in a new location – the labyrinthine railway tunnels, which hints at The Batman 2, as it serves as his base for the Bliss operation.
In the sixth episode, he successfully persuaded the Triads, the Sullivans, and the Odessa criminal organization. However, a storm is brewing that could potentially alter Oz in ways we’ve never seen before.
Victor and Oz’s mom are at risk in The Penguin Episode 7
In the final scene of The Penguin’s sixth episode, Victor and Francis broke into joyous dance within their Crown Point flat once the power came back on. Yet, as they beamed and chuckled, Sofia was hidden in the corridor, clutching a crowbar.
In the preview for Episode 7, Sofia expresses her desire for Oz to experience genuine suffering. She takes steps towards Dr. Julian Rush, who could potentially be a hidden adversary of Batman, suggesting that she might seek his assistance in inflicting both mental and physical torment on Oz.
The question at hand is who might suffer harm or even lose their life? Among the possibilities, Oz’s mother appears to be the most likely; both Sofia and Salvatore have voiced their anger towards Oz due to his apparent exploitation of others (Alberto and Salvatore’s wife), despite seemingly having no one. She seems to be a prime target for Sofia’s retaliation.
It seems Victor finds himself in a tricky situation as well. Being Oz’s trusted confidant, he possesses crucial information regarding the Bliss operation. His absence from the Episode 7 trailer might indicate that he may face some hardships ahead.
There’s an idea that Victor Aguilar could be The Penguin’s take on Victor Zsasz, and if Sofia continues to torment him, it might drive him to insanity. Zsasz is known for his belief that life is pointless and his actions aim to free people from the misery of existence. Given Victor’s deteriorating mental health in recent episodes, especially after he killed Squid in Episode 6, things seem likely to worsen significantly for him.
