As a seasoned Monster Hunter enthusiast with over a decade of slaying beasts under my belt, I can’t help but get excited about these leaks! Four returning Monsters and one fan-favorite? Sign me up!
It seems that a significant data leak from the Monster Hunter Wilds beta may have exposed at least four monsters returning from previous games, with one being particularly beloved by fans.
Enthusiasts of Capcom’s flagship hunting-action series are enjoying a delightful moment due to the open beta of Monster Hunter Wilds. Following several months of gradually released details about weapon adjustments, novel mechanics, and numerous new Monsters, players now have an early taste of the game.
Following its release on all gaming systems, dedicated Monster Hunter fans have been experimenting with the character creation tool, debating whether to give their Palico companions a voice, and transforming the game’s bug-like adversaries into cute, squishy slimes.
Indeed, some enthusiastic players are already exploring a playable version of the game, and it’s thanks to these dedicated dataminers that we’ve got some early peeks into Monster Hunter Wilds. A substantial data dump posted on r/monsterhunterleaks is where this new information originates. Keen-eyed fans have spotted hints suggesting that as many as four existing monsters might be making an appearance in the game.
Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test has been datamined, code contains IDs of several currently unannounced returning monsters

On the subreddit r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, user Hte_D0ngening2 shared an interesting discovery. In a recent text dump, they found several internal codes for unannounced creatures from Monster games. These codes correspond to monsters that have been flagged as suspicious in previous leaks.
Two notable monsters from the original series, the well-armored Gravios and the avian Wyvern Gypceros, have not appeared in any game since Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, but they initially emerged in the franchise’s first installment.
A recently discovered monster, identified as Nerscylla, a spider-like creature from the Temnoceran family, has been found in the game’s code. This suggests that an option for arachnophobes (people with a fear of spiders) might be necessary in the game to provide a more comfortable gaming experience.
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that the last character ID unearthed in the datamine seems to hint at a familiar face from Monster Hunter Rise’s Sunbreak expansion. It appears the legendary Gore Magala might be gearing up for another appearance in the upcoming game, which has me absolutely buzzing!
It should be noted that none of this has been confirmed by Capcom and there’s a very real chance that some of these Monsters won’t appear in Wilds despite having IDs present. There is still code for Lagiacrus housed within Monster Hunter World, and we all know how that turned out.
