As a die-hard fan of the Metal Slug series who’s spent countless hours blasting my way through pixelated mayhem, this latest announcement from Leikir Studio and Dotemu has me pumped! The fact that I can now add Metal Slug Tactics to my Game Pass subscription on release day is like finding a hidden power-up in one of those classic stages.
Leikir Studio and Dotemu have made an announcement that both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass members will be able to play the upcoming strategy RPG “Metal Slug Tactics” when it debuts on November 5th. The game is also accessible on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, as well as on personal computers via Steam.
Furthermore, they have released a detailed 20-minute showcase demonstrating the new Ikari Warriors in action. Watch as Clark, Ralf, and Leona team up to conquer their adversaries.

On November 5th, developers Leikir Studio and publisher Dotemu have confirmed that players can enjoy the turn-based RPG version of the renowned run-and-gun series, Metal Slug Tactics, through Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on the same day as its official release. This title will also be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One for $24.99 starting November 5th.

Metal Slug Tactics’ hard-hitting battles are front and center in more than 18 minutes of new footage showcasing the devastating abilities of its most recently revealed playable characters.
Metal Slug Tactics pays tribute to an enduring classic while also offering a fresh take on the beloved franchise. It recreates METAL SLUG’s iconic style using stunning pixel art and smooth animations. The game’s battlefields, designed for multiple replays, feature randomly arranged terrain sections with subtle roguelike elements, challenging players to adapt and conquer unexpected battles as they learn to employ strategic combat effectively. Use traditional METAL SLUG weaponry, boosted by skill trees, bonuses, and an adrenaline system that powers up your super attacks, to outsmart and obliterate the series’ iconic villains’ forces.
In simple terms, Leikir Studio has solely created the game Metal Slug Tactics, while receiving assistance from Dotemu and permission to use the intellectual property (IP) from its owner, SNK.
