Asmongold apologizes for past behavior and wants to change tone of future streams

As a long-time fan, I have to admit that watching Asmongold‘s journey over the years has been nothing short of captivating. From his entertaining gameplay streams to his passionate discussions about various topics, he has always managed to keep us engaged and entertained.

In his initial broadcast after a two-week hiatus, Asmongold unveiled significant changes he’s planning for his Twitch content and expressed regret for a past remark.

In his October 14 live stream, Asmongold was temporarily suspended by Twitch due to some remarks he made about Palestine. A recording of his statement rapidly gained traction on social media platforms, leading to criticism and disapproval not only from other creators but also from his fans. Subsequently, Asmongold was banned from Twitch for a period of 14 days.

On Tuesday, October 29th, Asmongold made his comeback and initiated his initial live session by engaging in discussions with his audience. While streaming, one of the viewers posed a question about whether his reappearance signified a fresh phase in his content creation.

He expressed that he’s unsure about stepping into a completely new phase, but his intentions remain largely the same. He doesn’t desire significant change or to do something entirely different. Instead, he emphasizes on altering the mood and atmosphere of what he’s doing, rather than making drastic changes.

On several occasions, Asmon has suggested modifying the general atmosphere of his live streams. After receiving a ban, he expressed this intention in a video apology, stating that he aims to provide a more enjoyable and uplifting experience for his audience.

Over the past few years, he’s transformed into a less desirable version of himself, and he’s recently become quite confrontational regarding matters and individuals he ought to avoid criticizing.

In August, he criticized the Best Esports Streamer of the Year award being presented to Twitch streamer Riversgg, arguing that it might have been given to her instead of IShowSpeed or Kai Cenat due to her being a woman.

He expressed his frustration, stating, “It’s disappointing that the selection seemed to be based on gender rather than skill, as she is a woman. Many people are aware of this. I believe Speed or Kai, or even three other individuals, should have been chosen instead.” He went on to say, “It’s quite irritating.

During his return stream, Asmongold apologized for making those comments.

He admitted, ‘I behaved very poorly there. I was absolutely mistaken. I acted extremely impolitely. I shouldn’t have spoken like that.’

Besides adjusting the tone of his livestream, Asmon also expressed a desire to try out an In Real Life (IRL) stream, which is a new venture for him as he hasn’t done it before now that he’s back from his ban.

Last night, I chatted with Esfand and Nick regarding a potential trip to the Middle East next year. As I sit here pondering, it’s likely that same time, roughly now, thoughts of this exciting adventure are crossing my mind. I can’t help but feel it’s going to be absolutely mind-blowing!

Despite having a mere 14-day suspension, Asmongold kept himself occupied by diligently cleaning his home and regularly posting updates on his progress.
