Ghostface Stalks His Way Into Mortal Kombat 1 In November

As a seasoned gamer with a soft spot for both horror and fighting games, I can hardly contain my excitement as Ghostface from Scream joins Mortal Kombat 1! The blend of two beloved franchises is an absolute dream come true.

Among the most recognized horror series in history is Scream, where a masked specter armed with a ghostly mask creates terror throughout a town across various movies. As Halloween approaches, NetherRealm has unveiled their plan to keep the fear alive into next month, as Ghostface will appear in Mortal Kombat 1 on November 19 for early access users.

On the Mortal Kombat YouTube channel, a short sneak peek was unveiled, showcasing Ghostface’s array of attacks. In one instance, we witness him attacking Johnny Cage who is lounging on a couch watching TV. Another scene portrays him attempting to strike Raiden with a deadly stab.

In addition to these brief appearances, we also notice a variety of masks Ghostface can assume, each one enhancing the fearsome image of the howling specter. One mask resembles a ninja’s, similar to Scorpion, another is red and adorned with devilish horns, while a third features large teeth protruding from its mouth.

Ghostface is the initial character revealed among three guest characters introduced for Mortal Kombat 1 with the Khaos Reigns expansion. The remaining two, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Conan The Barbarian and Robert Patrick’s T-1000, don’t yet have a set release date, whereas Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot were added to the game at launch of the expansion.

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m super excited to share that I can now get my hands on Mortal Kombat 1! This epic battle is available across platforms like Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. For those who crave more chaos, the Khaos Reigns expansion is up for grabs. You can purchase it as a standalone expansion for $50 or get it bundled with the base Mortal Kombat 1 game for $90. The best part? Both digital and physical editions are currently discounted! Steam is offering a reduced price for the base game, expansion, and the bundle. If you’re a console gamer, check out Amazon for some sweet deals on physical versions. Let the fighting commence!
