Stardew Valley Creator Finally Got All Achievements in His Own Game After 8 Years. „Dev Patted Me on the Back”

As a dedicated fan of Stardew Valley, I must say that Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has truly outdone himself. Not only did he create a game that keeps us hooked for hours on end, but he also demonstrated an impressive level of mastery by completing his own game and obtaining all achievements on Steam.

It’s not usual for game developers to excel at their own games as much as their fans do. In some instances, developers themselves struggle to finish playing through the game. However, the creator of Stardew Valley was an exception; he successfully completed his game and even earned all the achievements on Steam.

In a recent update, game developer Eric Barone (nicknamed ConcernedApe) showcased his remarkable accomplishment – successfully finishing the tough “Journey of the Prairie King” minigame in Stardew Valley without losing once, earning him the title “Fector’s Challenge”.

In simpler terms, the developer openly acknowledged that he needed to prioritize finishing the last unattained milestone in his project. However, he accomplished this task honestly, avoiding any underhanded tactics such as manipulating saves. The game is designed to save automatically upon completing a level (or when you die), but players also have the option to manually save their progress after each completed stage.

Yet, Barone opted against utilizing this handy opportunity. In a later post, he acknowledged that it required several days, but eventually, he successfully obtained the “Fector’s Challenge” achievement without resorting to save manipulation.

Certainly, players praised Barone and jokingly wished that the team behind Stardew Valley would recognize his accomplishment too. In response, he playfully stated that the developer gave him a figurative pat on the back.

Some fans were equally thrilled with Barone’s complete set for another unique reason. Many of them are yet to attain all the achievements, often due to the “Fector’s Challenge.” Additionally, some asked the creator to share a screenshot of his farm within SV.

On November 4th, we should remember that the latest Stardew Valley version 1.6 (or alternatively, 1.69) will become available on both consoles and mobile devices. According to ConcernedApe’s recent post, there are no concerns about the release, so the update is expected to be rolled out as scheduled.
