‘Ellie and the Christmas Creep’ Animated Feature Heads to Market With All Rights Entertainment (EXCLUSIVE)

As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a penchant for animated features, especially those that bring magic to life, I am thrilled by the latest announcement of “Ellie and the Christmas Creep.” Having grown up watching Christmas tales and being a sucker for anything 3D, this film seems like a perfect blend. The fact that it’s a co-production from Paris, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles adds an international flavor that I can’t wait to savor.

All Rights Entertainment, a movie sales company with offices in Paris, Hong Kong, and Los Angeles, has taken on global distribution responsibilities for “Ellie and the Christmas Creep,” a humorous 3D animated adventure film. The company will start promoting the movie at this year’s American Film Market, which is being held in Las Vegas instead of its usual location in Los Angeles from November 5th to the 10th.

Ellie and the Christmas Creep” is jointly directed by Caroline Origier (known for “Tally Ho!” and “My Fairy Troublemaker”), David Freedman (who has worked on “Yakari” and “Inspector Sun”), and Jules de Jongh. The script was penned by none other than David Freedman himself.

The production is handled by Luxembourg-based studio, Fabrique d’Images (known for “Luis and the Aliens” and “Tally Ho!”), in collaboration with France’s Fantabulous and Belgium’s Freaks Factory.

The production of our family-oriented action movie is set to officially commence towards the end of this year, with an estimated budget of around €10 million or approximately $10.9 million. The film is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2026.

Based on the provided summary, “The enchantment of Christmas is slowly fading as Santa grows increasingly obsessed with his celebrity status. An industrious elf girl believes this is due to a sinister presence. Determined to restore the genuine magic of Christmas, she embarks on a mission to uncover and combat this mystery.

Among the three productions currently underway at Fabrique d’Images, “Project” is one of them, with funding from All Rights Entertainment. The other two, namely “Dudley” and “The Defects,” were previously unveiled and are now being actively produced.

For many years, All Rights has been known for advocating for independently produced animated features from Europe and Asia. Recently, they acquired the rights to the children and family feature “Out of the Nest,” a unique Thai-Chinese co-production. This movie first appeared at the Annecy International Animation Festival earlier this year and was well-received commercially in China during the summer.

As a cinephile eager to share my thoughts, let me tell you that I’ve been fortunate enough to review some intriguing films produced by this esteemed company. Among their past projects are “Lendarys,” a gripping tale yet to be experienced, “Gulliver Returns,” a promising sequel to a classic story, and the action-packed “Sherlock Holmes and the Great Escape.
