As someone who has spent countless hours hunting ghosts in Phasmophobia, I can confidently say that tracking down those elusive Blood Totems is no easy feat! But fear not, my fellow paranormal investigators! By following the intense red glows around corners, behind doors, or even atop tables, you’ll be able to sniff out these totems like a bloodhound on the hunt.
As Halloween draws near, there seems to be a surge of eerie occurrences within the game Phasmophobia. This shift is associated with the Blood Moon Event, marking the first time players from all over unite for a joint challenge. But you might wonder, how can I participate in this event? To make it easier for you, we’ve put together a thorough guide explaining everything about the Blood Moon Event.
Phasmophobia Blood Moon Challenge Location And Requirements
In the spooky season of 2024, Phasmophobia will host a unique event called the “Blood Moon Event.” During this special occasion, specific locations within the game will be influenced by the “Blood Moon weather,” making ghosts significantly more powerful and challenging to confront. However, with these heightened risks come greater rewards. Players can anticipate various ID Card themes, fresh trophies, increased completion rewards, and other exciting elements as part of this event.
As a gamer, I can follow the progress of this community event by checking out the brand new Event Board in the warehouse. Each time I meet the challenge requirements, I’m chipping away at the overall completion of the event’s stages. Keep in mind that this is only available for a limited period, running from October 28th to November 13th, 2024. So, let’s make the most of it while we can!
As a gamer, I’ve found that not everywhere has the Blood Moon event happening. It seems like I can only take part in this exciting challenge when I find myself in one of these four specific spots on the map.
- 42 Edgefield Road
- Grafton Farmhouse
- Point Hope
- 13 Willow Street
At present, just these four spots feature the Blood Moon weather. Upon finishing this event, you’ll be able to enable this weather on all other maps as an option. Here’s what you’ll need to do to participate in this event: requirements for contribution.
- Identify Ghosts Correctly
- Complete Optional Objectives
- Photograph Any Totems You Find
The initial two tasks involve recognizing a ghost using clues and accomplishing supplementary feats such as evading pursuit or capturing the ghost’s image. The third task presents a distinct challenge, where you should keep vigilant for Blood Totems. Finding these Blood Totems can be challenging, and photographing them is even more difficult.
Blood Totem Locations in Phasmophobia
The Blood Totems are shaped like vases and contain a tiny, hovering Mini-Blood-Moon. These artifacts can be discovered in numerous areas within the event sites. While certain Totems can be easily spotted near the entrances, others may necessitate a more thorough exploration.
As a gamer, whenever I stumble upon those mystical Totems, remember to snap a quick photo to earn Blood Points. For a top-tier three-star rating, make sure to capture the image up close. If you snap it from a distance, you’ll end up with fewer stars and consequently, less points.
In each game round, these totems appear at random locations, ensuring they don’t pop up in the same spots every time. The exact number of blood totems that might appear depends on whether you’re playing alone or with a team. From my personal playthroughs, here’s an approximate number of totems you may encounter:
Map | Size | Number of Totems |
---|---|---|
42 Edgefield Road | Small | 3-5 |
Grafton Farmhouse | Small | 3-5 |
Point Hope | Small | 4-6 |
13 Willow Street | Small | 3-6 |
As a gamer, I found the trickiest task in Phasmophobia to be tracking down every single Blood Totem. But here’s what worked for me: Keep an eye out for the strong, red glow that surrounds them. Even without a torch, you can follow these intense red glows, particularly in dark corners of rooms, behind doors, or atop tables, to zero in on those elusive Totems.
Blood Moon Event Rewards
As a dedicated fan, I must admit that taking on the Blood Moon stages can be quite challenging due to their enhanced complexity. Yet, these tests of skill are more than rewarding, offering enticing prizes for your triumphs. Here’s a rundown of all the goodies you could earn from the Blood Moon event:
- Blood Moon ID Card (Stage 1 Reward)
- Upgraded ID Card (Stage 2 Reward)
- Blood Moon Trophy (Stage 3 Reward)
- Blood Moon Weather Unlock (Stage 3 Reward)
- Increased Completion Reward (+10% Final Reward on Blood Moon locations)
How To Claim Blood Moon Event Rewards
Once you finish all phases of the Blood Moon Event, you won’t be able to collect the event rewards from the board. Instead, you will need to visit the Blood Altar situated at the heart of your Warehouse to receive the rewards.
After finishing each level, please navigate to the Blood Altar and hit ‘E’ key to collect the prize. The enhanced completion reward is instantly added to your total rewards at the end of the level without needing any additional actions on your part.
