‘Real Housewives of London’ Coming in 2025 From Hayu and ‘Made in Chelsea’ Producer

As a devoted fan who’s followed the “Real Housewives” franchise through its many international iterations, I can hardly contain my excitement about the upcoming “The Real Housewives of London.” Growing up in the UK, I’ve always felt a sense of pride when seeing our culture represented on such a global scale, and this is no exception.

The hit “Real Housewives” franchise is coming to London next year.

For the first time, Hayu, NBCUniversal’s subscription video-on-demand service specializing in reality shows, will introduce an original series titled “The Real Housewives of London.” This production is being handled by Monkey, the same company that brought us the classic British reality show “Made in Chelsea.” The series is expected to debut towards the end of 2025, and it will be available exclusively on Hayu.

The announcement was made on Saturday evening following Andy Cohen’s panel discussion at the inaugural Hayu FanFest in London. This event, which had already sold out, included panels with cast members from “Real Housewives,” including Lisa Barlow, Sutton Stracke, Jessel Taank, and Ashley Darby.

Recruitment for the show “The Real Housewives of London” has begun, aiming for filming to commence in early 2025.

Tonight, Hayu announced their first original series commission ever: ‘The Real Housewives of London’. This is another major achievement in the expansion story of our reality streaming service. As the managing director of Hayu and EMEA Networks, as well as international direct-to-consumer at NBCUniversal, Hendrik McDermott stated, “It’s logical for us to focus on such a significant location within the U.K., one of our key markets, in our strategy to boost our content offerings with unique original shows that cater specifically to our dedicated fans.” We can’t wait to be the exclusive platform for this latest addition to the highly successful ‘The Real Housewives’ series franchise.

Helen Kruger Bratt, Monkey’s managing director, expressed her joy: “We’re thrilled to present ‘The Real Housewives of London’ to viewers, thanks to our U.K. collaboration with Hayu. Hayu is a perfect fit for this cherished reality show, offering fans immediate access to the drama unfolding among these new British Housewives. This marks the 30th international adaptation of the legendary ‘Housewives’ format, and we can assure you, viewers won’t be left feeling let down!

Various cities around the world have hosted different versions of “The Real Housewives” series, such as Athens, Vancouver, Melbourne, Budapest, Amsterdam, Johannesburg, Rome, Lagos, Munich and others. The longest-running international spinoff is “The Real Housewives of Cheshire,” which has been airing for 17 seasons and centers on the lives of women living in an English county.
