Festival of the Lost 2024 start date

2024’s Festival of the Lost begins post-weekly reset, which takes place at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time on October 29th. The event concludes during the next weekly reset on November 12th.

Compared to last year’s event that kicked off on October 17, this one is starting a tad later, but it still carries the same eerie atmosphere.

How to start Festival of the Lost 2024

In keeping with tradition, Eva Levante is coming back for the Festival of the Lost. Just like before, you can find her in the Tower. Upon completion of an initial mission and handing out some treats, you’re ready to embark on a journey to accrue rewards and don some stylish masks.

Do you still need Spectral Pages in Festival of the Lost?

In other words, if you were accustomed to gathering Spectral Pages for farming, that’s history now. Bungie has made it known that players no longer have to amass the item to finish chapters of the Book of the Forgotten. All you need now are Manifested Pages instead.

In addition to chests found within Haunted Areas, Developer Bungie mentioned that Mysterious Documents will appear from various locations when you have a mask on. We won’t know for sure what this refers to until the event begins, but it’s likely connected to other activities besides Haunted Areas, which could prove useful.

Festival of the Lost 2024 masks list

The festivities surrounding Destiny 2’s latest expansion, The Final Shape, continue unabated, as this year brings seven fresh masks to the Festival of the Lost. Additionally, Bungie hinted that masks obtained from Haunted Sectors will feature higher stats, and those from Expert Haunted Sectors will boast both high stats and additional “spikey rolls”.

What else is new in Festival of the Lost 2024?

As I eagerly anticipate the Festival of the Lost 2024, I’ve been pondering on some adjustments and enhancements that could make the experience even more thrilling. With Spectral Pages out of the picture, let’s explore some possibilities together!

As in past years, the most effective method for accumulating Eerie Engrams is by exploring Haunted Sectors. Remember that you can collect even more Eerie Engrams in Expert Haunted Sectors, as they now offer a chance to drop an extra engram.

In the arms section, you’ll find a recurring selection of Halloween-themed firearms, but this year they come with revamped ability sets. Bungie isn’t ready to reveal all the secrets yet, only offering a peek at some intriguing perk combinations.

  • Mechabre (Aggressive Arc Sniper Rifle): Lone Wolf in column 3, Closing Time in column 4, and Search Party as the origin trait.
  • Jurassic Green (Rapid-Fire Solar Pulse): Loose Change in column 3, Incandescent in column 4, Search Party, Field Tested as origin traits.
  • Braytech Werewolf (Precision Kinetic Auto Rifle): Rewind Rounds in column 3, Onslaught in column 4, and Search Party as the origin trait.
  • Acosmic (Rapid-Fire Void Grenade Launcher): Withering Gaze in column 3, Bait and Switch in column 4, and Search Party, Nadie as the origin traits.

In addition, you can now purchase an Exotic-class item straight from Eva in Destiny 2, bypassing the requirement to finish the Dual Destiny quest. However, please note that these items won’t be attuned to your class unless you complete the Dual Destiny quest. If you don’t, you’ll receive random rolls on the items instead. But remember, luck could work in your favor!

Festival of the Lost 2024 rewards

During Destiny 2’s Halloween celebration, the sweets you’ve collected won’t go unrewarded. There are plenty of prizes up for grabs!

Below are all of the Festival of the Lost 2024 rewards:

  • Wizard Armor Ornaments for a scary vibe.
  • The return of the Superblack shader.
  • Arcane Embrace as a new weapon: The shotgun has Arc element and a Heavy Burst subtype, so it fires a hard-hitting, two-round burst while slightly reducing flinching from incoming fire while aiming. As teased by Bungie, a potential combo for the weapon is Fourth Times the Charm in column 3, Precision Instrument in column 4, and Search Party in origin trait.
  • Lost Memento is also returning as a reward, and you’ll be able to hold up to three at a time. You can earn it from completing the Twilight Triumph or as a random drop from focusing any items.
  • You can also earn the new Spectral Carapace emblem for completing the Twilight Triumph.

Have fun in this year’s Festival of the Lost!
