Margo Martindale Plots a Maple Syrup Heist in ‘The Sticky’ First Trailer

As a movie buff with a penchant for quirky comedies and a soft spot for Canadian content, I must say the trailer for “The Sticky” has piqued my interest! The cast seems to be top-notch, with Margo Martindale, Chris Diamantopoulos, and Guillaume Cyr leading the charge. The blend of humor, crime, and maple syrup is an unusual yet intriguing combination that I can’t help but appreciate.

Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for the dark comedy series “The Sticky.”

The series “focuses on Ruth Landry, a resilient, mature maple syrup farmer, who, after facing the threat of losing everything dear to her by the overbearing bureaucratic officials, resorts to illegal activities. She forms an alliance with a fiery Boston mobster (Chris Diamantopoulos), and a calm-natured French-Canadian security officer (Guillaume Cyr) to execute a massive maple syrup surplus heist in Quebec.

According to an exclusive report by EbMaster, all six episodes of the half-hour series will premiere on December 6. The show is inspired by the Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist, but as the trailer reveals, it’s important to note that “this portrayal is not a faithful retelling of actual events.
