Black Ops 6 added one of the best features in years & you probably missed it

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of FPS gaming under my belt, I can confidently say that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been a breath of fresh air in the franchise. The omnimovement system, while initially met with skepticism, has added a level of strategy and unpredictability that I find refreshing.

In a variety of significant ways, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has revolutionized the popular First-Person Shooter series, yet one aspect that hasn’t received much attention might prove to be a game-changing factor for improvement – this feature could potentially be a game-changer.

In contrast to significant changes seen in Call of Duty during the jetpack period, Black Ops 6 brought about omnimovement, a new concept that marked a departure from traditional gameplay for the series. This deviation was explicitly promised by developers Treyarch.

Despite a few player criticisms, particularly about the maps, the overall condition of the game is solid and, among Call of Duty releases in recent years, it’s been launched exceptionally smoothly.

Additionally, they’ve incorporated a tool into the game, designed to enhance your shooting skills and make you proficient with every weapon; this handy resource is conveniently located within the Firing Range.

This great feature is certainly an understated one, and it’s an Recoil Wall that dangles from the ceiling in the firing range. You can activate and deactivate it depending on your needs, but it allows you to see the spray pattern of any weapon.

In the image provided, you’ll notice the trajectory of the PU-21 LMG’s recoil. Initially, it veers a bit to the left and upward, then moves primarily upward as it swerves towards the right.

In simpler terms, to use the PU-21 in multiplayer, you should initially push back slightly to the right and up on your right joystick, then gradually move it to the left if you’re aiming for an extended firing duration.

To access the Recoil Wall you have to:

  1. Open your loadouts.
  2. Find the class you want to test.
  3. Press in the L3 stick to take it to the Firing Range.
  4. Once in there, press Down on the D-Pad, then Down again.
  5. The first press will bring down the moving target, while the second will give you the Recoil Wall.

This is ideal when you’re finding it tough to grasp the use of any specific weapon, such as when you’re trying to acquire all BO6 mastery camos and are facing difficulties with a particular firearm.

Go straight to the shooting range, pick up the firearm you intend to hone your skills with, and commence practicing. In no time, you’ll master the gun’s recoil and effortlessly eliminate your adversaries.
