Streamer xQc is facing another legal action from his former partner and streaming colleague Adept, this time in the state of California. The lawsuit aims for substantial compensation, possibly running into millions, and contains accusations of abuse that were absent in the initial court case filed in Texas.
While many points in this new lawsuit mirror those from the Texas case (which a judge later dismissed), it’s important to note that there are additional allegations about instances of domestic violence that have not been mentioned before.
Samantha, who goes by the screen name Adept, claims that xQc forcefully pushed her head into his shoulder, leading to a police intervention and the granting of an Emergency Protection Order.
The suit additionally reinforces the allegation of sexual assault, initially brought up in the Texas complaint. Moreover, it is claimed that xQc exploited his “charismatic” fan base to harass her, and even brings up the term “whale,” a label frequently used by his followers when referring to her.
It’s also claimed that the editors of xQc are involved in this focused harassment, as they reportedly clip and post stream sections on YouTube, with titles that she suggests are defamatory.

Skilled party claims that these “harmful statements have severely harmed my reputation, resulting in lost endorsement deals and decreased audience on my streaming channels.
The broadcaster aims to recover a total of $245,000 in compensatory damages, yet they’re also pursuing punitive damages across all claims, plus costs and legal fees. This additional sum significantly exceeds $1 million USD.
In simpler terms, “xQc stated on October 20th that Adept is asking for a $10 million settlement. He expressed his feelings by saying something like, ‘I want to make a big fuss and talk about this for an hour, but I won’t because it’s just… I don’t know what to say. It’s really unfortunate at this point.'” The streamer conveyed that he finds the situation sad.
He added that the claims made he has already “won in court” and that the allegations are “outrageous sh*t.”
