As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into FIFA games, I must say that EA’s tweaks to Division Rivals in FC 25 have left me both intrigued and slightly frustrated. The legacy division placement system is an interesting approach, but it feels like a double-edged sword. On one hand, it’s exciting to start the season with a challenge, but on the other, it’s a bit of a reality check when you find yourself back in Division 7 after reaching Division 2 last year.
In FIFA 25, EA increased the challenge in Division Rivals, making it more demanding, especially for players who are ranked higher. This change also means that there’s less protection for those at the top divisions.
In Electronic Arts’ FIFA 25, Division Rivals is a thrilling game mode where players strive to ascend the rankings and obtain superior rewards. A new feature this year is legacy division placement, which means that the starting position in FIFA 25 is determined by the highest division you reached in FIFA 24.
For example, if you reached Division 2 in FC 24, you start this year in Division 7. In addition, EA also increased the amount of wins required for the best possible weekly rewards from seven wins to 15.
Hey there fellow gamers! Some of us might’ve noticed a bit of grumbling among the gaming community lately – folks seem to be finding it tougher to keep up with the game load. But let me tell you, the enticing rewards as we progress through higher Divisions sure do make it hard to argue against!
Can you get relegated in EA FC 25 Division Rivals?
As a gamer, I’ve learned that in EA FC 25’s Division Rivals, there’s a risk of getting demoted if I’m not careful. Divisions 1 and 2 don’t have any save points, so if I happen to lose a game at the start of a division, I might find myself back at the end of the division below, starting my climb all over again.
To clarify, after you’ve advanced to the Elite Division, demotion can only occur at the start of a new season.
In higher leagues, EA (Electronic Arts) decreased the frequency of Checkpoints due to the developers’ belief that players might find themselves struggling to progress beyond a very challenging skill level following a series of wins or games.
In the middle of Division 3, you’ll encounter the penultimate checkpoint for Division Rivals. From thereon, it’s up to each player to embark on an extended winning spree if their goal is to climb to Divisions 2 and 1.
Having fewer milestones along the way makes advancing to upper leagues more difficult, but the increased prizes make the struggle to advance and enjoy prolonged victories a rewarding experience.
