Producer Ashok Amritraj to Receive Indian Cinematic Icon Honor (EXCLUSIVE) – Global Bulletin

MOGUL’S MARCH

As a follower who has witnessed the illustrious careers of these extraordinary individuals, I feel both awestruck and inspired by their remarkable journeys. Ashok Amritraj, with his four-decade career spanning over 100 productions and $2 billion in earnings worldwide, is nothing short of a cinematic titan. His transformation from a Wimbledon tennis player to a Hollywood producer, as chronicled in his autobiography “Advantage Hollywood,” serves as an inspiring tale of resilience and determination that I find truly captivating.

International film producer Ashok Amritraj will be honored with the Global Indian Cinematic Icon Award at the upcoming India International Film Tourism Conclave in Mumbai. The ceremony will host diplomatic representatives from more than 50 nations, including Norway, Sweden, Indonesia, Spain, and Ecuador.

The founder of Hyde Park Entertainment Group, who has created movies that have grossed over $2 billion globally, is about to be honored for his four-decade-long career, which encompasses over 100 productions. Some of his most recognized works are “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance,” “Bringing Down the House,” and “99 Homes,” as well as joint productions with international partners such as the successful Hindi-Tamil film “Jeans.

The award-winning producer, who documented his professional shift from a Wimbledon tennis player to a Hollywood producer in his book “Advantage Hollywood,” is additionally a United Nations India goodwill ambassador. Among his achievements are being knighted with France’s Chevalier De L’Ordre National Du Merite and receiving an honorary doctorate from the University of East London.

For the past four decades, my path has led me from India to the tennis courts at Wimbledon and then to Hollywood. Even though the reality of the two remarkable careers I’ve been fortunate enough to have surpassed my wildest dreams, my primary focus has always been on promoting a positive global image for India and fostering connections between India and other nations. I am deeply grateful and awestruck to receive this unique recognition from such an esteemed organization. All I can say is thank you, and stay tuned – there’s plenty more where that came from!

COP CROSSOVER

Bollywood actor Salman Khan will make a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s movie “Singham Return,” introducing his character Chulbul Pandey from the “Dabangg” series into the growing universe of Indian police officers. This casting marks the initial collaboration between the “Dabangg” and “Singham” film series, as Khan teams up with Ajay Devgn, who reprises his role as Bajirao Singham.

This image represents the fifth installment in Shetty’s well-known cop saga. The series, stemming from Hari’s 2010 Tamil film “Singam” featuring Suriya, first began with “Singham” (2011) and “Singham Returns” (2014), both revolving around Singham, an upright Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) from the border town between Goa and Maharashtra named Shivgarh. The narrative then shifted to focus on Sangram “Simmba” Bhalerao, portrayed by Ranveer Singh, a crooked inspector hailing from Singham’s hometown, in “Simmba” (2018). The storyline continued with the introduction of Akshay Kumar as DCP Veer Sooryavanshi in “Sooryavanshi” (2021).

In “Singham Again,” you’ll find a star-studded cast that includes Devgn, Singh, Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Jackie Shroff, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor.

The “Dabangg” series consists of four productions, including the original movie in 2010, two sequels in 2012 and 2019, and a spinoff in animated form that came out in 2021.

“Singham Again” is scheduled for a Nov. 1 release during the Diwali holiday frame.
