Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero – All Special Finishers & how to trigger them

As a long-time Dragon Ball enthusiast who has followed the franchise since its humble beginnings, I can confidently say that Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has truly outdone itself. The game’s attention to detail and love for the source material is evident in every corner of it, from the What-if Scenarios to the Special Finishers.

In the game Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, there aren’t many unique finishing moves known as Special Finishers. Here’s a guide on how to access each one and activate them all.

“The release of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has created quite a sensation worldwide. It’s brought back the cherished Budokai Tenkaichi series, breaking records and drawing in an enormous number of players.

One enjoyable aspect when exploring Sparking Zero lies in discovering its hidden treasures and special instances scattered about.

The game caters not just to combat enthusiasts generally, but also longtime fans of the Dragon Ball series, with its What-if Scenarios and unique character dialogues scattered across each campaign episode.

One particular aspect of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero that many may not have discovered yet is the presence of Special Finishers.

As an ardent fan, I’m here to share some jaw-dropping moves and the extraordinary animations they unleash! But let me clarify that while these moves are truly spectacular, the game doesn’t boast a vast array of features. Nonetheless, I’ve compiled all the Special Finishers in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, along with instructions on how to deploy them during battle. Enjoy!

All Special Finishers in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero

While every character in Sparking Zero has an Ultimate blast they can access when charged up in Sparking Mode, only three have Special Finishers.

  • Goku (Z-Mid) Super Saiyan
  • Master Roshi
  • Goku (Z-End) Super Saiyan 3

To set off both abilities, first, make sure your Sparking meter is fully charged and then deliver your Ultimate attack. Note that the Special Finisher can only be unlocked if this move ultimately defeats your opponent, so aim to reduce their health significantly prior to executing it.

Goku (Z-Mid) Super Saiyan: Angry Kamehameha

Among all the finishers in Dragon Ball, Sparking Zero is my preferred one due to its significant origins.

In the animated series Dragon Ball Z, the characters Frieza and Goku engaged in a fierce battle that reached a point where Frieza pleaded for pity. Being as kind-hearted as ever, Goku granted him some of his power, but when it was time for Frieza to withdraw, he instead attempted to kill Goku.

Enraged, Goku exclaimed “you’re so foolish!” before unleashing the Angry Kamehameha, thus finally vanquishing Frieza permanently.

Activating the specified finisher for Whis will wrap up Mission 1 of his Special Finisher quest and reward you with 20,000 Zeni.

Master Roshi: Evil Containment Wave

Master Roshi’s unique technique is called the “Evil Containment Wave,” which he demonstrates to Goku in the anime series.

With this action, your adversary is confined within a compact, sealed container – much like a tiny bottled-up prisoner. Upon successful execution, Master Roshi raises both hands in the universal symbol of peace and revels in his triumphant victory.

Doing so will complete Whis’s Special Finisher Mission 2, and you will earn 20,000 Zeni.

Goku (Z-End) Super Saiyan 3: Dragon Fist

In other words, the Dragon Fist move in this game is quite dramatic, resembling a spectacular Special Finisher or Ultimate Attack. Instead of charging at his adversary, Goku rushes headlong, delivering a powerful strike that unleashes a colossal golden dragon from within him, annihilating his opponent off the battlefield.

Choosing a character with Super Saiyan 3 as their transformation might not be preferred by all, but their unique Special Finisher certainly makes it an appealing choice.

Landing this move will complete Whis’s Special Finisher Mission 3 and earn you 20,000 Zeni.
