‘Twisters’ Gets Peacock Streaming Release Date

As a seasoned cinephile who has braved many a stormy night at the local 4DX theater, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation for Universal’s “Twisters.” Having survived countless cinematic tornadoes, both on the big screen and in my living room, I’ve developed a peculiar fondness for these celluloid tempests.

If you feel it, chase it — now from the comfort of your own couch.

As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that starting from November 15th, the blockbuster tornado action movie “Twisters,” starring Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones, will be streaming exclusively on Peacock – Universal’s platform. Can’t wait to catch it!

The movie, serving as a sequel to the 1996 storm-chasing blockbuster, premiered in cinemas on July 19, earning an impressive $80.5 million on its opening weekend. Subsequently, it grossed over $370 million worldwide. Interestingly, “Twisters” was highly popular in specialized theaters such as 4DX, where viewers experience wind, rain, and are even shaken in their seats.

Apart from Powell and Edgar-Jones, the cast features Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, David Corenswet, Maura Tierney, Sasha Lane, among others. The film was helmed by Lee Isaac Chung, and it has Steven Spielberg, Thomas Hayslip, and Ashley Jay Sandberg serving as executive producers.

In simpler terms, the movie ‘Twisters’ is a modern-day disaster epic that promises heart-pounding action and thrilling excitement. After a traumatic encounter with a tornado, Kate (played by Daisy Edgar-Jones) left behind storm chasing on the Oklahoma plains to study them safely in New York City. Her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos) pulls her back into the field for a unique scientific opportunity. Meanwhile, she meets Tyler (Glen Powell), an adventurous tornado enthusiast who’s famous online for his storm-chasing antics. As the storm season becomes increasingly dangerous with never-before-seen phenomena, Kate and Tyler must join forces to try and control, and survive, a series of catastrophic tornados.
