As a seasoned farmer and entrepreneur in Old Market Simulator, I’ve had my fair share of triumphs and challenges. From fishing for a living to baking delicious treats, I’ve learned the ins and outs of this bustling town.
The Old Market Simulator is an engaging game that mimics a shop setup on a tiny island. To successfully accomplish all tasks, you must set up your store and start offering goods to the island’s residents.
Old Market Simulator Guide – All Quests
Starting off with the Old Market Simulator, you’ll be setting foot on the central isle. This primary island houses essential stores for your initial venture and options to grow your own retail outlet. Here’s a look at the main map for your reference:
As a fan, here’s my take on breaking down the steps in a more conversational style:
- Bread: 12 for 660c. Lasts 2 days.
- Egg: 10 for 120c. Lasts for 3 days.
- Carrot: 15 for 270c. Lasts for 5 days.
- Potato: 25 for 400c. Lasts for 5 days.
I suggest buying two of each which is enough to keep your store going for a bit without taking too long to move everything the next day. Once all your stuff is ordered, you need to head up the stairs on the west of your store to go to your bedroom, which is right above your store. Interact with the bed to Sleep until the next day.
Your ordered goods will be arranged at the dock, close to the western side of the island’s ship. Utilize the conveyor system resembling a ski lift to bring all items nearer to the store for easier stocking. Stock your shelves first, then set prices by hovering over each item and pressing ‘X’. Interact with the sign on the door that says ‘CLOSED’ to open the store. To make your initial sale, hover over each item placed by the customer at the counter and press ‘E’. The customer will then pay; pick up the payment bag using ‘E’. In summary, you need to follow these steps: Arrange goods, set prices, open the store, complete a sale (by interacting with the items and picking up the payment), and repeat this process until your task is completed.
Events Calendar location
For your upcoming task, you’ll need to locate an event calendar. Exit your shop’s door, then proceed straight ahead. Continue walking right until you reach a large building. Enter it and look for the State Officer a few feet up and slightly to the left upon entry. The calendar will be hanging on the wall to the officer’s right.
Let There Be Light Walkthrough
Coming up next, you’ll be embarking on a mission titled “Illuminate the Way”. Your destination is a decorative shop situated within the Bazaar, close to the State Officer’s location. Feel free to choose from various types of decorative lights available and then find an appropriate spot in your store to display it.
Trash Walkthrough
Once you’ve finished packing up an item box from your sales, you’ll receive a task called “Trash” that asks you to dispose of empty boxes outside. There’s a bonfire conveniently located in front of your store where you can discard them. If you find two partially filled boxes or baskets containing the same items, you can merge them by picking up one item box and then pressing the ‘V’ key on the other.
Cleaning Walkthrough
Task at hand: Cleaning is up next. You’ll need to revisit the Lumberjack and acquire a broom for 50 cents. Locate and brush away any spots that have tiny white fluffy particles floating above them using this new tool. Keep in mind, like all tools in Old Market Simulator, your broom will eventually wear out; the remaining durability can be checked at the bottom right corner of the screen when you are holding it.
How to unlock the Farm
Afterward, it’s time to open up your farm. This action enables you to buy seeds and cultivate your own vegetables and fruits, which could bring in some additional income. Make your way to the Architect, who can be found within the Grand Bazaar. Upon entering the Grand Bazaar, take a left turn, then a right at the cul-de-sac; the Architect will be situated at the end of this corridor. He will offer you various expansions for sale, one of which is the initial Farm Field for 500 credits.
How to order new products
The upcoming task involves securing authorization to expand the product selection from our Order menu. Head back to where the Calendar used to be and converse with the State Officer. You can acquire this permission by paying a fee, which grants access to an array of new products such as fresh produce, jellies, and numerous other items. To finish the quest, you simply need to buy any one of these expanded options.
Where is the horse barn?
In the final stages of your adventure, you’ll find yourself acquiring a steed and storing it in your barn. To access the barn, you’ll first have to revisit the Architect in the bustling Grand Bazaar. Once there, locate and unlock Barn 1, which is further down. Then, make your way to the Animal Market, situated beside the Lumberjack. Here, you’ll find two horses for sale – one for 1,000c and another for 2,500c. The pricier steed moves faster, can carry twice as much, and requires more upkeep. I recommend going for the more expensive horse; it offers better value in the long run. Once you’ve purchased your horse, move the box over and fill it with hay for your new equine friend. To summon your horse, simply press H on your keyboard.
How to get all achievements in Old Market Simulator
In Old Market Simulator, there are a total of 10 accomplishments that can be earned, each one calling for fairly straightforward advancement.
- Farmer’s Joy: Harvest your first crop. Purchase a Farm expansion from the Architect, hoe the farming area, plant seeds from the Gardener, then water them for several days until they grow. Picking them will put them in a box, allowing you to put them on a display in your store.
- Tree-Mendous: Harvest from a tree for the first time. Plant a tree from the Gardener in your farm, then wait for it to fruit. Pick the fruit from the tree to get this achievement.
- Fish Whisperer: Catch your first fish. The Lumberjack sells a boat, an oar, and a fishing pole; there is a dock for the boat a little to the left of the Lumberjack’s stall. There is a fishing map on the boat; using them to figure out where to go to fish up some to sell. You can get a fish display counter at the Lumberjacks as well.
- Animal Gatherer: Harvest from an animal for the first time. Put a goat, cow, or other animal from the Animal Market in your Barn, then collect milk from them.
- Meat the Butcher: Cut up your first animal for meat. Purchase an animal from the Animal Market, then get a knife; use the knife on the animal to get this achievement.
- Net Gain: Use a fish trap for the first time. The Lumberjack sells fish traps as well as the other fishing gear you will need.
- High-Tech Farming: Harvest your first crop from a greenhouse. The Architect has expansions for you to get greenhouses, which will let you grow season crops at any time of the year. Grow something inside one to get this achievement.
- Meat Cutter: Cut meat at the meat cutter for the first time. You can buy a meat cutter from the Engineer for 10,000c; use meat in it to cut it up.
- Baker’s Delight: Bake your first delicious treat in the oven. Ovens can be purchased from the Engineer in town for 5,000c, but you need the Workshop expansion from the Architect before you can purchase one.
- Brand New You: Change the name of your market. Stand underneath the sign above the door of your shop. Look up at it to change the name.
Old Market Simulator FAQs – Junkman, Cellar, Events
In Old Market Simulator, there’s plenty to keep you busy! You might find yourself curious about minor details around the town or unexpected events during gameplay.
What does the Junkman do?
At The Junkman’s store, you can sell your unwanted items for half their original value. To do this, bring the item into his shop and place it in the grinder labeled F. Once placed, the machine will process the item, and its price will display on a screen above the grinders. To finalize the transaction, press the red button located on the right side of the grinders.
What does the Cellar do?
The Cellar is used for storing items to stop the rotting process. When you have items that only last a few days, but you want to keep them for next season, you can store them in the Cellar. Items can be either dropped on the floor or stored on shelves. The Cellar needs to be unlocked with the Architect.
What is Pirate Visit/Frostbite/Heatwave/Inflation?
Occasionally, certain incidents might happen during particular seasons or at any given moment. Increases in prices due to inflation can make purchasing items more expensive, while Pirate Raids may render some goods unmarketable. In winter and summer, Frostbite and Heatwaves respectively lead to a significant decrease in the number of customers you’d typically encounter. For additional details, simply hover your mouse over the event’s name after pressing ESC.
