In simple terms, the creators of a popular independent game called Vampire Survivors have announced that they will soon release a downloadable content (DLC) package named “Ode to Castlevania”. This DLC is intended as a tribute to one of the game’s major influences. The team behind this announcement is Poncle, and they made the announcement during Konami’s Castlevania Fair event on Steam. The Ode To Castlevania DLC will be available for all versions of Vampire Survivors on October 31st for a price of $4.
Title Reinterpretation: Ode to Castlevania is a grand tribute, a full-blown jubilee, to the enduring saga of this adventure series. It represents Vampire Survivors’ most expansive modification to date. This content pack will feature more than 20 new characters, approximately 40 fresh weapons, and what is currently the biggest map ever featured in the game, brimming with ominous mysteries and numerous malevolent bosses.
Here comes an unexpected surprise in the world of Vampire Survivors! On October 31st, prepare to immerse yourself in the “Ode to Castlevania” DLC, available across all platforms with a glass of wine in hand. This is our largest DLC yet, promising at least another 10 hours of thrilling gameplay, filled with chills and excitement!

Some of the names and weapons specifically named for the DLC pack are below:
- The Belmonts, including Simon, Richter, Trevor, and Sonia
- Multiple witches, including Sypha and Yoko Belnade, Charlotte Aulin, and Maria Renard
- Eight different whip weapons
- Elemental spells inspired by Portrait Of Ruin and Harmony Of Dissonance
- Magic weapons, with Alucard’s sword, spear, and shield specifically mentioned
In addition, the game will incorporate around 30 music pieces from the past of Castlevania, reimagined in the manner of Vampire Survivors by composers like Daniele Zandara and Filippo Vicarelli, along with others. One of these tracks, Vampire Killer, was made available as a preview when the announcement was made.
In a recent development, the collaboration DLC titled “Ode To Castlevania” has been added to Vampire Survivors. However, it’s not the first time Konami and Poncle have joined forces. Earlier this year, a Contra crossover event introduced the main characters Bill and Lance from the shooter game into Vampire Survivors. Moreover, in December 2023, characters from Among Us participated in a special pack named “Emergency Meeting,” where they fought off monsters.
On Halloween, October 31st, the “Ode to Castlevania” expansion for Vampire Survivors will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, personal computers, and various mobile devices.
