As a seasoned gamer with a wallet that’s seen better days, I can’t help but feel my heart skip a beat when deals like this one from Woot pop up! With the impending launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the timing couldn’t be more perfect. I mean, who wouldn’t want to save some hard-earned cash while diving headfirst into the latest FPS battlefield?
Amazon-owned store Woot is offering great discounts on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions, perfect for the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on October 25th. Until the end of the month or while supplies last, you can get 3-Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate codes for just $36.49 and 1-Month codes for $13.79. Normally, you would pay $60 for three months directly from the Xbox Store or around $50 for a prepaid code at major retailers. With these deals, you’ll save between $13.50 and $23.48 on your subscription costs.
On its release day, Black Ops 6 will become available in the Game Pass Ultimate collection. This means that subscribers can enjoy the new first-person shooter on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming without the need to purchase a separate copy of the game.
If you’re new to Woot, you can log in using your Amazon credentials. During checkout, remember to enter your shipping details. Instead of receiving physical items, you’ll get the codes sent to your email. After finalizing your order, Woot will send a confirmation with a “tracking number.” This “tracking number,” which is a 25-character key, needs to be redeemed on the Xbox Store for access.
12-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions can be accumulated, allowing up to 12 codes to be purchased and activated simultaneously, if you’re not already a member. These codes are valid for both new and existing subscribers. If you pay monthly through the Xbox Store, using a prepaid code will automatically extend your next billing date to the day following when your prepaid voucher expires.
Buying three months of Game Pass Ultimate from Woot drops your monthly cost to $12.16, a nearly $8 discount versus the Xbox Store. It’s also $4.50 less than the monthly average when buying the $50 three-month vouchers from major retailers. If you purchase four vouchers from Woot at $36.49 each, your annual Game Pass Ultimate cost is only $146–a steep reduction from the $240 cost from the Xbox Store and the $200 cost from prepaid vouchers at Amazon.
Game Pass Ultimate costs $20/month when you subscribe directly on the Xbox Store. Even if Woot’s deal sells out–and these Game Pass offers frequently do–you’ll still want to opt for the prepaid voucher method for the time being. Microsoft raised the price of Game Pass Ultimate from $17 to $20 last month, but major retailers are still selling codes at the old prices: $50 for three months and $17 for one month. Amazon had three-month vouchers for $45 up until this week–the retailer finally joined other retailers at the $50 price point. But since it costs $60 across three months directly from Xbox, the $50 offer is still a smart way to subscribe.
Amazon has increased the cost of three-month codes to $50, but they still offer an excellent Game Pass-related deal at present. For just $75, you can grab a fresh Xbox Wireless Controller, an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K, and one month of Game Pass Ultimate. This package is worth up to $137, as Xbox Wireless Controllers typically cost between $60 and $70, the Fire TV Stick 4K goes for $50, and a month of Game Pass Ultimate is priced at $17. A variety of controller color options are available, including the newly launched transparent blue Sky Cipher Special Edition. Or, you can opt for the same deal with the Fire TV Stick 4K Max (worth $60) for only $80.
Xbox Cloud Gaming was added to Fire TV 4K streaming devices over the summer, so you can stream hundreds of Game Pass games on your Fire Stick, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Xbox Cloud Gaming is only included with the Ultimate tier of Game Pass. If you need a new Xbox controller and have use for the Fire Stick–for game streaming or not–these bundles offer terrific value. Check out our full breakdown of Amazon’s Xbox Cloud Gaming starter kit for more details–it’s unclear when the promotion expires.
