As an old-timer Guardian who’s seen the Light through countless battles and expansions, I can say that Xur’s new business model in The Final Shape is quite intriguing! Back in my day, he was just a mysterious vendor with an odd collection of goods. Now, he’s a full-fledged merchant with his own reputation track and loyalty program!

This week, Xur has reappeared in Destiny 2, offering an intriguing new item – Xurfboards! Alongside his regular stock of Exotic weapons and armor, you can purchase a nifty skimmer if you’re prepared to part with 97 Strange Coins. Here’s where you can find Xur this week, along with details on what he has for sale.

This week, Xur is providing the catalysts for the Exotic weapons, Tractor Cannon and The Fourth Horseman, as well as the following Exotic armor pieces: Celestial Nighthawk (for Hunters), Wormgod Caress (for Titans), and Crown of Tempests (for Warlocks). If you’re in need of new Exotic weapons, Xur is offering Hawkmoon, Arbalest, Coldheart, and DARCI this week.

Xur Location

Start at the Tower and head right after passing Banshee-44. Descend the stairs, follow the passage, and when you reach the Bazaar, turn right into the nearby side street. You’ll discover Xur there in his designated spot, waiting to offer you his newest items if you have enough Strange Coins on hand. With this Exotic, you’ll be something of a glass cannon, yet it complements the Still Hunt Exotic sniper rifle quite well.

If you’re aiming to optimize your gameplay around your Stormtrance Super, consider using the Crown of Tempests. This exotic enhances the duration of that ability and quickens the recharge rate of Arc abilities when they hit or inflict a Jolt debuff on enemies. However, its stats are somewhat unusual as it has a nearly maxed resilience but low recovery and discipline. To balance this out, you might need to boost recovery and discipline with some armor mods to ensure they’re at par with strength and intellect.

In the new setup of his operations within “The Final Shape”, Xur now offers two different Exotic weapon catalysts weekly. These items won’t include catalysts related to quests, Exotic missions, Season Pass Exotics, campaign Exotics, preorder Exotics, raid Exotics, or dungeon Exotics. Instead, the assortment will feature older catalysts that were previously discovered via random drops before “The Witch Queen” expansion.

As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that this week, Xur is offering not just Hawkmoon, but he’s also got three other random Exotic weapons up for grabs! Remember, he’s still stocking Legendary armor and weapons, as well as Engrams that could net you any item from those pools at random.

Beyond this, the loyalty system of Xur activates when you’ve spent a total of 47 Strange Coins. This triggers the Strange Favor boost, which lasts for 11 days and can be accumulated up to three times, with one instance per week. This allows you extra opportunities to amass bonus Strange Coins from activities that dispense this currency in Destiny 2. You’ll find Xur every weekend, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM Pacific Time / 1 PM Eastern Time each Friday.
