As a fervent admirer of resilience and determination, I find myself deeply moved by the story of Lieutenant Dan. This man, who goes by the nickname that instantly brings to mind the legendary character from “Forrest Gump,” has captivated our screens during Hurricane Milton with his daring decision to weather the storm aboard his 20-foot sailboat.
Social media sensation Lieutenant Dan has decided to sell his boat, as Tampa authorities have informed him that he can no longer keep it docked at the location where he’s been residing.
As Hurricane Milton approached shoreline on October 9th, a fellow named Lieutenant Dan gained popularity online, trending on platforms like TikTok and various social networking sites.
He shared plans to stay in his 20-foot sailboat on the water throughout the storm, shocking many viewers in the process.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share the excitement when Adin Ross, the sensation behind Kick, extended an invitation to Dan and his buddy ‘Tampa Terrance’ for a live streaming session. In this engaging interaction, Ross generously proposed a brand-new boat worth up to $100,000 and a streaming contract with Kick for Dan!
On October 14th, Monday, Adin decided to withdraw the Kick contract that was with Dan. Three days later, in a video shared on his account, the popular TikTok sensation, Dan, disclosed that he declined the offer because he wanted a fresh boat. Intriguingly, this decision came after Dan announced, in another post, that he had put his current boat up for auction following a directive from the Tampa police to vacate the area.
The Tampa police woke me up because I was in the park without being registered. I won’t be using the funds from the GoFundMe campaign. Instead, I plan to sell my boat, which has survived two major hurricanes, at an auction.
“I’ll be managing an auction for a week, so if you’re interested, please send me your bid. The highest bidder will win the boat, allowing me to pocket some money and leave Tampa. I prefer not to deal with the hassle anymore. Unfortunately, I can’t visit the park as I’ve been banned from all public parks in Tampa.
Participants expressed their opinions about the auction in the comment section, largely backing Lt Dan’s choice.
“Hope it all works out for you god bless,” one user commented.
Another said: “Hope it all turns out well.”
“Wishing you the best and hope you get a great deal on your boat,” a third replied.
During Hurricane Milton, Lieutenant Dan wasn’t the only TikToker who gained popularity. In fact, several Kick streamers also went live during the storm, hoping to win a $70k prize offered by Adin Ross. However, with the situation being dangerous, Adin Ross urged them to prioritize safety first.
