At the Xbox Partner Preview exhibition, Unknown Worlds and KRAFTON, Inc. have publicly declared the upcoming release of Subnautica 2. This underwater sandbox adventure game is the third installment in the Subnautica series, succeeding Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero.
The upcoming game introduces an entirely fresh alien underwater realm teeming with novel ecosystems, creatures, and additional features. Similar to its predecessors, players will be tasked with creating tools, establishing settlements, and delving into the perilous oceans to unravel the enigmas surrounding this world.
For the first time, Subnautica 2 will include multiplayer co-op, allowing players to experience the ocean’s secrets together. Players will be able to work together to build tools, bases and more.
A specific start date for the Early Access phase hasn’t been announced yet, but we anticipate learning more details within the next few months.
