Adin Ross follows through with $10K prize for Mike Smalls Jr’s Hurricane Milton stream

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I must say that the situation between Adin Ross and Mike Smalls Jr. is a classic case of misunderstood intentions. While it may have started as a miscommunication, Adin Ross’ actions afterwards speak volumes about his character.

The Hurricane Milton challenge proposed by Adin Ross wasn’t favorably received by a streamer on Kick when they found out they weren’t eligible for the contest’s winnings. Yet, Adin Ross generously compensated the streamer for their disappointment.

On October 10, as Hurricane Milton neared the Gulf Coast of Florida, popular live streamer Adin Ross promised a $70,000 reward to anyone capable of successfully streaming live during the storm.

In hopes of qualifying for the prize, online gamer Mike Smalls Jr. decided to stream his gameplay. Amidst heavy winds and showers, he established a shelter – a tent and an inflatable bed – right smack in the middle of the tempest.

Nevertheless, Ross made it clear that his offer was for $70k to be given to SamBond and SweaterGxd, the streamers.

Upon discovering the money wasn’t meant for me after all, despite my best attempts, I found myself expressing my frustration respectfully. “I’m disappointed and angry,” I expressed. “I’m out here putting my life on the line to provide for my family, and then this happens… It feels like a betrayal. It’s just not fair.

Despite not donating the $70k to Smalls, the well-known Twitch streamer, Ross, expressed his “pride” towards Smalls for the viral success of his Milton livestream.

Apart from cheering him on, Adin Ross pledged to send Smalls a sum of ten thousand dollars so that he could manage his living expenses. Smalls expressed this on Twitter by saying: “Adin Ross is pleased with me for gaining popularity due to the hurricane challenge and reaching 20K live viewers. He also mentioned sending me $10K. I wonder if he’s serious about it?

On October 17th, as promised by Ross, Smalls received $10k. “I got $10,000 from Adin Ross for completing the hurricane challenge last week!” Smalls exclaimed. “It seems he kept his word… some of you were certain he wouldn’t pay me.

I’m thrilled to share that Adi Ross came through on his promise and sent over $10K my way after I completed the hurricane challenge last week! It’s clear he values his commitments, even when some folks weren’t so sure he would follow through. 😂

Supporters of Smalls’ rising fame reacted positively, expressing that Ross giving him a “major win” was fitting. Many concurred that it was well-earned and applauded Ross for carrying out his promise.

In another instance, Adin Ross found himself in a similar predicament when making a promise during Hurricane Milton. He had promised Lieutenant Dan a business deal, but after Lieutenant Dan’s contentious live streams, Ross decided to withdraw his offer.
