RPG Maker With PS5 and PS4 versions launch in Japan on January 30, 2025 with cross-platform support

As someone who has spent countless hours crafting tales of fantasy and adventure on RPG Maker platforms, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the upcoming release of RPG Maker With on PlayStation consoles! Having started my journey with RPG Maker on PC years ago, it’s truly heartening to see the series continue to evolve and expand its reach.

Kadokawa and Gotcha Gotcha Games have officially announced that the Japanese release dates for both the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 versions of “RPG Maker With” are set for January 30, 2025. From this date onward, players can start using and enjoying the software on their PlayStation consoles.

Confirming the news, Gotcha Gotcha Games has announced that the upcoming Sony PlayStation releases will offer cross-platform compatibility with the Nintendo Switch version. Essentially, this feature allows newcomers on PlayStation platforms to download content created by earlier Nintendo Switch users and vice versa, fostering a collaborative experience among gamers across both systems.

Just a heads up, RPG Maker MV was launched for Nintendo Switch in Japan back on April 11 this year. Six months later, on October 11, NIS America made the Western version of the game software available in five main languages (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish) for the Switch. They’ve also announced plans to release the Western PlayStation versions in 2025. However, it’s yet to be determined whether these releases will occur simultaneously in Japan or not.
