As a longtime fan of Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence’s creative genius, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the renewal of “Shrinking” for Season 3! With its witty dialogue, relatable characters, and a stellar cast led by the talented Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, it has become one of my must-watch shows.
“Shrinking” has been renewed for Season 3 at Apple TV+.
The TV series was developed by Jason Segel, Bill Lawrence, and Brett Goldstein. This show centers around “therapist Jimmy” (portrayed by Segel), who, following a period of grief, begins to disregard professional rules and openly express his thoughts to clients. Venturing outside the boundaries of his training and ethical guidelines, he ends up instigating significant, chaotic alterations in people’s lives… even his own, as suggested by the official summary.
Apart from Segel, the series “Shrinking” features Harrison Ford playing Paul, one of his initial TV roles, alongside Christa Miller as Liz, Jessica Williams as Gaby, Luke Tennie as Sean, Michael Urie as Brian, Lukita Maxwell as Alice, and Ted McGinley as Derek. Goldstein appears as a guest star in the second season.
The announcement about the revival was made on Thursday at New York Comic Con. There, creators Segel and Goldstein, accompanied by actors from the “Shrinking” series, had a special talk about Season 2. Currently, you can watch the first two episodes of the new season on Apple TV+, and each week, new episodes are released every Wednesday.

For Apple TV+, ‘Shrinking’ is created by Warner Bros. Television, with Lawrence and Goldstein having overall deals, as well as Lawrence’s Doozer Productions. In Season 2, Lawrence, Segel, Goldstein, Neil Goldman, James Ponsoldt, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Randall Winston, Annie Mebane, Rachna Fruchbom and Brian Gallivan all act as executive producers. For the third season, Ashley Nicole Black and Bill Posley will join them as executive producers.
In a new development, ‘Shrinking’ becomes the third production venture for Apple, Lawrence, and Warner Bros. Television, joining forces previously on ‘Ted Lasso’ and ‘Bad Monkey.’ Notably, this is also the second project Apple TV+ has undertaken with Jason Segel, following his lead role in the 2022 Apple Original Film titled ‘The Sky Is Everywhere.’
