New Steam Demo Showcases The Blend Of Doom, Vampire Survivors, And Parkour That Is Dieseldome: Oil And Blood

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen it all – from the rise and fall of gaming dynasties to the emergence of indie developers that breathe fresh air into the industry. The new demo of Dieseldome: Oil And Blood, released during Steam Next Fest 2024, has caught my attention like a Roman centurion’s spear piercing a shield in battle.

In an imagined scenario, let’s consider what might have happened if the Roman Empire had never fallen and instead discovered petroleum (gasoline) and Gatling guns. This intriguing twist on history is being presented by Turkish developer GHST Studios in Dieseldome: Oil And Blood, and they’ve recently released a demo for it on Steam during Steam Next Fest.

In Dieseldome, players assume the role of a condemned gladiator who battles their way through swarms of adversaries. The gameplay combines aspects from Doom and Vampire Survivors, offering a fast-paced, action-packed first-person experience where speed and agility are crucial. Players can leap off obstacles or run along walls during combat, adding an extra layer of excitement to each battle.

As I navigate through the thrilling world of Dieseldome, I gather experience points by overcoming adversaries, mastering parkour-inspired obstacles, and triumphing in intriguing “wagers” – the game’s version of quests. These hard-earned XP points grant me powerful enhancements to utilize throughout my journey. Upon completing a run, I am rewarded with in-game currency that can be used to invest in lasting upgrades for future adventures.

Dieseldome’s latest demonstration is part of Steam Next Fest, a recurring event organized by Steam that showcases promising indie games and their creators. This year’s Steam Next Fest will take place from October 14th to the 21st in October 2024. Some of the games showcased during this event include The Rise Of The Golden Idol, a murder mystery game, Virballs, a 3D-platformer, and Erenshor, a single-player MMO.

As an eager admirer, I’m thrilled to share that the much-anticipated game, Dieseldome: Oil and Blood, is set to debut on PC platforms. While we don’t have a specific launch date yet, rest assured it’s coming! If you can’t wait any longer, hop over to Steam Next Fest and download the demo right now to get a sneak peek of this exciting title.
