As a longtime fan of Hunter x Hunter, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon hearing about Yoshihiro Togashi’s improving health. On one hand, I’m overjoyed that he’s making progress and able to work on his masterpiece once again. On the other hand, I’ve come to expect nothing less from this tenacious mangaka who’s proven time and time again that he can sit for hours on end creating intricate, captivating stories.

With much excitement building, Yoshihiro Togashi, the mastermind behind Hunter x Hunter manga, shares that his health has been showing steady progress.

Hunter x Hunter is a well-known and highly praised anime and comic book series. The revamped anime series concluded its run in the year 2014, while the manga reached Chapter 400 in the year 2022. However, it has taken an extended break due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s health concerns.

Starting from October 2024, the popular manga “Hunter x Hunter” resumed its publication in Weekly Shonen Jump. As of now, the creator is busy with Chapter 422 and has been providing occasional updates via Twitter or X platform.

In Chapter 401 of the manga, the Succession Contest Arc unfolds further with an astounding disclosure. It’s unveiled that Longhi is none other than Netero’s daughter, and she firmly believes one of the princes could be Netero’s son.

In each issue of the Wall Street Journal, mangakas include a personal message alongside their chapters. In the notes section of Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 46, Yoshihiro Togashi reveals that his back has healed enough for him to sit and write again, and he is gradually making progress.

Enthusiasts are pleased to learn about Togashi’s recovery in health and express their joy. One of them puts it, “I’m relieved he’s getting better so he can complete the manga and have a peaceful retirement.

Another exclaims, “Wow, that’s stunning! I truly wish things keep going well for them. (Even in hell, one can find joy in sitting on a chair…)

I’m truly impressed by Togashi’s determination to continue with his work. He demonstrates tremendous resilience, which is really commendable,” another adds.
