Invincible Season 3 release date ‘leaks’ as Arcane hacker returns

As a devoted fan of Invincible and someone who has waited eagerly for each new season, I can’t help but feel a mix of anticipation and skepticism when hearing about the potential release date of Season 3. The leaks from Jace Johnson, the infamous data breacher, have been both intriguing and nerve-wracking in the past. While I’m thrilled at the prospect of no mid-season break for Invincible Season 3, I’ll believe it when I see it on my screen.

The third season of Invincible is expected to debut in early 2025, as suggested by the same source who revealed details about Arcane Season 2 before its release.

This year, Netflix experienced one of its most significant data breaches to date. Previously unreleased episodes of shows like Terminator Zero and Dandadan became available online, but the most notable leak was the unfinished episodes of Arcane Season 2, which started circulating on social media.

It seems that one possible suspect turned out to be Jace Johnson, who had boasted about having early access to Stranger Things Season 5 and Sonic 3. Following an apparent warning from the streaming platform, he remained under the radar – up until this point in time.

Prior to the suspension (once more) of his Twitter account, he disclosed that Invincible Season 3 is set for release on February 6, 2025.

Although Amazon hasn’t verified the information, it seems plausible given that Johnson’s assets appeared authentic. This includes a short sneak peek featuring Mark and Cecil discussing the finale of Invincible Season 2 in a Burger Mart, as well as a glimpse at a blue suit. However, always remember to approach such rumors with caution.

Following a two-and-a-half-year break between the initial installments of Invincible, creator Robert Kirkman expressed his intention to shorten the time gap for upcoming seasons. In fact, preparations for Season 3 were already underway before the release of Season 2 Part 2, and voice recording for the new episodes was finished in April.

He mentioned to Collider that while the complexities of animation might pose challenges, one thing he can assure us is that the time between Season 1 and 2 will be our longest wait (except for any unexpected disasters), in essence.

“It may be every 18 months or 16 months or 13 months or every 12 months. We’re still trying to figure that out,” he added, with Steven Yeun saying: “We’ve been working. We’re banking episodes, we know what’s going on.”

Should the rumors surrounding Johnson’s leaks hold weight, there’s even more reason for excitement: unlike the divisive decision made after Season 2, Invincible Season 3 won’t be divided into two parts. This means fans won’t have to suffer through a prolonged gap in the action, as the wait between episodes will not be artificially extended by months.
