Chris Broad & CDawgVA call out MrBeast’s “generational falloff”

As a seasoned gamer with years of YouTube consumption under my belt, I must say that Chris Broad and CDawgVA’s criticism of MrBeast resonates with me, albeit not entirely unexpectedly. Having followed the careers of both Broad and MrBeast, it seems that their perspectives align with my own observations.

Chris Broad and CDawgVA voiced their opinion on MrBeast’s perceived focus on financial gain, labeling it as a generational gap issue, suggesting that he prioritizes money over other aspects.

On October 12, CDawgVA, a Japanese-based voice actor, inquired about Broad’s opinions regarding MrBeast. This led Broad, famous for their Abroad in Japan YouTube channel, to express their views.

Broad began by stating that if someone believes MrBeast’s primary goal isn’t to become the wealthiest YouTube personality, they may have overlooked something. He then shared a past encounter with Reed Duchscher, who used to manage MrBeast.

A while back, I spoke with his supervisor, perhaps a year or so ago. He came across as cordial, yet the conversation was largely centered around finding ways to increase profits. Broad recounted, “He asked about generating more revenue and I explained that I create entertaining and educational videos. His response? ‘Yes, but how do we make money, money, money.’

In the course of their discussion, Broad mentioned the joint endeavor by Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast in relation to their Lunchly company.

“Then he teamed up with Logan Paul. That should tell you all you need to know. Logan Paul is the biggest f**king c**t there is. You shouldn’t be partnering with those sorts of people.”

Moving forward, Broad made it clear that while he doesn’t view MrBeast as entirely evil, he has been hearing negative rumors about him for quite some time. Regarding MrBeast’s charitable works, Broad clarified that “He has indeed accomplished remarkable feats, and we can’t dismiss that,” but emphasized the importance of looking beyond his philanthropy, which is primarily geared towards his personal advantage.

He went on to say, ‘Philanthropy once seemed like a protective shield against criticism, but its effectiveness has waned because people can now see beyond that facade.’

Despite having three well-known YouTubers associated with it, Lunchly continues to face criticism. Dietitians have harshly criticized the company’s advertising tactics, labeling them as “extremely inappropriate.
