Call of Duty devs respond after LeBron James demands Bronny get a CoD skin

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the potential collaboration between LeBron James and Call of Duty has me absolutely thrilled! The idea of seeing the father-son duo of the James family grace our screens in the world of CoD is nothing short of exhilarating.

LeBron James made a request on Twitter for Activision to include his son, Bronny, in Call of Duty so he could have a custom character skin. To his surprise, not only was his request acknowledged, but Activision even proposed a counter-offer.

It’s no surprise that Call of Duty often features unexpected collaborations. From well-known personalities in the content creation scene, popular movies and TV shows, other video games, or even celebrities, the Call of Duty series has demonstrated its readiness to work with a wide variety of partners when the situation fits.

Instead, LeBron James approached Activision directly with an unsolicited proposal, initiating contact on his own.

“Bronny just said he want his own ‘skin’. Activision, Call of Duty, talk to me,” he tweeted.

It didn’t take them long to respond.

It’s well-known that Bronny possesses skills as a shooter; shall we discuss?

Historically, the first father-son pair in the NBA. They might also make history in Call of Duty, let’s see! 😜

It’s known that Bronny possesses shooting skills, so let’s discuss. They mentioned this duo (father and son) could make NBA history as the first to play together. There’s also a possibility they might be the first father-son pair in Call of Duty too.

The enthusiastic reaction from the Call of Duty account significantly increases the chances of this crossover happening, particularly since LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball players ever, was the initial contact.

It’s not unprecedented for Activision to incorporate well-known sports figures into their Call of Duty games. For instance, in Modern Warfare 2, they introduced Messi, Neymar Jr., and Pogba all at once, making some of the world’s most recognized footballers part of the series.

LeBron James and his son Bronny aren’t the only basketball stars represented in the game; Kevin Durant and Devin Booker also have special characters, each featuring a complete set of items including distinctive weapon skins.

There’s uncertainty about when these skins might be launched, or even if they’ll be ready for inclusion in Black Ops 6. However, should both parties agree on adding a skin to the game at an acceptable cost, anything could potentially transpire.
