As a seasoned FIFA Ultimate Team player with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that these promo cards are nothing short of game-changers. Let’s start with Alanna Kennedy, the Inside Forward ++ beast who is always in the right place at the right time. With her lightning speed and iron strength, she makes any fullback look like a Sunday league player. However, I must admit, I was taken aback when I first saw her card – a woman tearing up the men’s game? Unheard of! But hey, who am I to judge?
In EA FIFA 25 Total RUSH, you’ll find some incredibly high-priced Ultimate Team cards. This is due to the fact that it houses one of the top promotion teams in recent memory.
The second promotion for EA FC Ultimate Team, called Total RUSH, presents two teams showcasing top global players, influenced by the fresh RUSH gameplay style. This event offers a sequence of temporary RUSH adaptations with exclusive squad conditions that gamers can accomplish to gather Player Picks and Season Points.
Furthermore, every week, one Total RUSH player with the highest objective completion can be achieved by meeting specific challenges.
The promotion kicked off in a grand fashion, introducing the initial Total RUSH Team, a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) featuring Player of the Month (POTM) Cole Palmer, and another SBC for the EOAE (Icons) team member Alex Morgan. While Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Antonie Griezman are undeniably the main attractions in the first batch of fresh cards, there are some underestimated alternatives worth exploring as well.
10. Azpilicueta
This Cesar Azpilicueta card, priced under 20,000 coins, is an unmissable bargain and a versatile option as a central defender for any ultimate team. The La Liga league is one of the top leagues in the Ultimate Team, making it simpler to establish chemistry with Azpilicueta. His attributes are impressive and worth taking note of.
88 interceptions, 90 reactions, 92 instances of aggression, and a speed of 78 indicate that this seasoned defender is a versatile central defender with few flaws, boasting a broad skill set.
Instead of having the advanced PlayStyle Plus, Azpilicueta sticks to the basic ones: Intercept, Jockey, and Anticipate, which are sufficient for his playstyle.
9. Aurelien Tchouameni
In Ultimate Team at the moment, there aren’t many top-notch CDM (Central Defensive Midfielder) choices available, with only a handful of costly ICONs and Heroes as exceptions. Finding a player who can effectively perform in this position is challenging. However, Tchouameni fits the bill perfectly when it comes to qualities you’d want from a holding midfielder. Although we don’t consider this card to be worth approximately 640,000 coins, Tchouameni ticks all the boxes for what makes an ideal CDM in Ultimate Team.
90 Defensive Intelligence, 90 Defensive Intelligence, 85 Physical Power, and proficient Ball Control and Dribbling transform this Real Madrid standout into an unbreakable barrier.
Currently, Tchouameni is equipped with all Defensive PlayStyles except for Block and Slide Tackle. Additionally, he possesses Aerial, Relentless, and Long Ball Pass traits, making him ideally suited for a defensive midfield role.
8. Trent Alexander-Arnold
Similarly to how Tchouameni strengthens the CDM role, Trent Alexander-Arnold stands out as one of the league’s top right backs. At this moment, RTTK Malo Gusto and Jeremie Frimpong are the notable non-special (Non-Hero or ICON) options for the position.
Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold might not astound you with his speed, but his exceptional passing, skillful dribbling, and strong defensive skills make him a valuable addition to your team for several weeks, if not more.
In this particular player’s stats, Stamina (94), Interceptions (92), Crossing (94), and Dribbling (86) truly shine, along with other noteworthy attributes. However, we find the Falseback role somewhat underwhelming. Nevertheless, if you’re open to experimentation, Alexander-Arnold has a strong Player R Role for this position that might be worth considering.
In a brilliant display, Trent Alexander-Arnold consistently charges ahead on the flank. His exceptional passing statistics, combined with his ability to deliver pinpoint crosses, often find your striker during each attempt.
7. Marquinhos
This season, Ligue 1 may not boast numerous top-tier player cards, but due to Marquinhos’ Brazilian nationality, it’s relatively easy to find synergy with his card. Moreover, since he hails from a less frequently used league, his value is significantly lower compared to what it would be if he were playing in a more popular league like the Premier League, making him an affordable yet valuable asset, worth over a million coins.
It’s shocking that this card only costs around 200,000 coins. Every Defending attribute is 90 overall or higher, and Marquinhos has just enough Pace to be competent against any opposition.
Beyond what’s already impressive, the central defender additionally boasts a 90 Jumping stat, an Intercept PlayStyle of +, a Ball Playing Defender rating of ++, and virtually every other PlayStyle desirable for gameplay.
6. Frenkie De Jong
Year after year, Frenkie De Jong’s playing cards are an absolute joy to utilize, thanks to a unique charm he possesses. His 95 Stamina ensures Barcelona’s tireless midfielder never grows weary, and with his exceptional close control statistics, you’ll effortlessly outmaneuver opponents in the heart of the pitch.
Instead of De Jong focusing primarily on offensive statistics, it would be advantageous to deploy him as a more defensive player in the midfield pivot, paired with another player who excels in pushing forward and causing problems for opposing defense lines.
Although Trivela may not be the top PlayStyle option, its shortcomings are compensated by the fact that it is Press Proven, and it excels in all passing playstyles except for Whipped Pass and Pinged Pass.
5. Cristiano Ronaldo
If we were evaluating any other Cristiano Ronaldo promotional card, it would be unjustifiably low. But times have shifted, and Ronaldo’s performance isn’t what it once was. His low Agility and Balance make him struggle in tight spaces, and his speed has noticeably decreased significantly.
Connecting Ronaldo can be trickier due to him playing in the Saudi Professional League, which doesn’t have as many meta-cards compared to other leagues. However, his status as a deadly finisher in front of goal remains unchanged, and he certainly possesses the skills to prove it.
With Power Header, Acrobatics, and High Jump capabilities, you’ll dominate most 50/50 aerial battles within the penalty area. Power Shot is an exceptional attribute for a striker to possess. Additionally, five-star skill moves and a four-star weak foot make any player card even more appealing.
But we can’t find a way to justify paying over two million coins for this card.
4. Lauren James
In the beginning of EA FC 25 Ultimate Team, Lauren James is recognized as one of the most versatile players. This promotional card enhances an already outstanding winger choice, making her an essential pick for any team.
Inside Forward ++ means she is always in the right spot to sneak behind defenses and get an easy goal. 95 Acceleration, 91 Sprint Speed, and 95 Strength make it so you can blow by any fullback and hold them off without getting dispossessed.
80 Stamina, quickness, and coordination could use some enhancement, but a specialized Engine-style boosts these abilities. The Trickster + trait is ideal for players aiming to execute intricate skill move combinations, and James lacks only the Press Proven and Technical Ball Control PlayStyles.
James would be a worthwhile addition if you ever have the million coins required.
3. Antoine Griezmann
Similar to James, Antoine Griezmann is dominating Ultimate Team games, being one of the most frequently chosen players. Griezmann’s finesse shots seem almost unjust, allowing for goals that appear possible from virtually any range, thanks to his Finesse+ ability.
To put it simply, this upgrade card stands out as it has no significant flaws. If we’re being picky, a quicker striker might be preferable, but its 90 Shooting, 88 Passing, and 90 Dribbling stats are comparable to any card in the game at this stage.
With the False 9 + Plus Player Position, Griezmann skillfully moves out towards the wings, finding an optimal spot to unleash a precision shot that sails across goal from beyond the 18-yard box. A million coins may seem pricey, but it’s reasonable for a card of this quality.
2. Kevin De Bruyne
Although Kevin De Bruyne’s overall rating is 90 with good attributes, his gold card was surprisingly affordable at approximately 40,000 coins. This is mainly due to his 67 Pace, making him less effective in the current gameplay style (meta). However, the Total Rush card significantly boosts his speed to 80, once again making him a topic of discussion in meta discussions.
Our preferred PlayStyle for a central midfielder is the Passing Mastery Plus, or Pinged Pass as we like to call it, and he possesses all other Passing PlayStyles except for Tiki Taka. De Bruyne boasts a four-star skill level and a five-star weak foot, making him highly versatile when evading defenders in the midfield.
Plus, this standout card boasts exceptional Skill in Shooting, Passing, and Dribbling, making it an indispensable choice.
1. Kylian Mbappe
In simple terms, there’s not much more to add about Kylian Mbappe since he’s already been extensively praised. He stands out as one of the top attackers in FC 25, with an overall card that’s unmatched. His current speed rating of 98 in Ultimate Team is simply absurd, and this is before considering his almost flawless Shooting and Dribbling attributes.
If you can’t find a way to get him at a reduced price, it’s unlikely that most players will be able to afford the approximately seven million coins needed to acquire the striker for their team.
