One Piece Episode 1123 delayed with “special” project airing

As a dedicated One Piece fan who has been sailing the Grand Line with Luffy since its debut, I can hardly contain my excitement for this upcoming 25th Anniversary special episode, ONE PIECE FAN LETTER! The prospect of Megumi Ishitani and Keisuke Mori teaming up again to bring us a masterclass cinema filler episode is like striking gold at the end of Skypiea.

Although One Piece Episode 1123 has been postponed by Toei Animation Studio, a thrilling “special” endeavor is set to captivate the enthusiasts instead.

On October 20, 2024, the One Piece anime will mark its 25th anniversary. Unsurprisingly, Toei Animation has some big ideas in store for this momentous occasion. After all, it’s quite remarkable for a weekly anime series to run for an impressive 25 years!

As a gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the timing of our anniversary lines up with the airing schedule of my favorite anime series! Excitingly, the studio has chosen to stream a unique anime project by the talented Megumi Ishitani. This special treat, titled “One Piece Fan Letter,” is a 20-minute adaptation from Tomohito Ohsaki’s official novel, Straw Hat Stories. I can hardly wait!

The short film showcases tales about the crew from an everyday person’s perspective. Alongside Ishitani, the animator, Keisuke Mori will also be directing this project. They are both known for their work on One Piece Episode 1015, which is one of the highest-rated and best-received episodes in the anime series.

On October 20th, instead of episode 1123, a special One Piece anniversary episode titled “ONE PIECE FAN LETTER” is scheduled to air.
