As someone who’s spent countless hours battling my way through the mystical world of Metaphor: ReFantazio, I can confidently say that the Elementa enemies are the most infuriating yet intriguing creatures I’ve encountered. They’re like the Shin Megami Tensei Mitamas on steroids – they run away faster than a cheetah on roller skates!
As a dedicated gamer diving into Metaphor: ReFantazio, I’ve encountered some formidable bosses that have tested my skills and patience. Yet, among them all, none has managed to stir such unbridled frustration as the elusive Elementa. This crafty foe has an uncanny ability to evade me, leaving me seething with rage!
Essentially, these entities are akin to the Mitamas from Shin Megami Tensei, but they’re particularly indifferent towards interacting with you. If you aim to defeat them, swift action and asserting your dominance are key. However, let me assure you, the rewards make the effort more than worthwhile.
In this tutorial, I’ll show you step-by-step how to conquer every kind of Elementa – be it Blue, Red, Green, or Gold – and reveal their vulnerabilities.
How to defeat Elementa enemies
You must beat Elementa enemies in a single turn or they will run away in Metaphor: ReFantazio.
- When you spot an Elementa, don’t waste any time – chase it down and smack it with your primary weapon before starting Squad combat. This gives you a nice advantage in the fight, letting you land a free hit without burning a turn.
- Follow up by exploiting the Elementa’s weakness, which is conveniently tied to its color. Use either your Archetype’s magic or items to hit that weakness and make quick work of them.
- Alternatively, you could use a strong physical attack hoping to deal a critical blow and earn one extra turn.
After defeating the Elementa, you’ll be immediately transported to a rewards screen. This battle offers a substantial increase in MAG, Reeve, and EXP. It’s likely that several of your characters and Archetypes will level up just from this single fight. Plus, since the Elementa can’t harm you, you’ll also receive an Unscathed Victory bonus.
Blue Elementa weakness
As a gamer, I know that Blue Elementa takes a hit when facing Fire abilities like Bot, Gabot, Botra, Gabotra, Boatona, and Meteophor. It’s good to remember that characters such as The Mage, Wizard, or Magic Seeker often possess these powerful Fire skills in their arsenal.
You can find Blue Elementa enemies on the outskirts of Grand Trad or in the Catacombs.
Red Elementa weakness
The Red Elementa is vulnerable to Ice abilities, including Blizz, Gablizz, Blizza, Gablizza, and Blizzaton. Mages and Wizards often possess these abilities. If you lack such skills, opt for an Ice Chunk item or concentrate on powerful Physical attacks instead.
You can find Red Elementa enemies on the outskirts of Martira and underneath the castle.
Green Elementa weakness
The Green Elementa is vulnerable to Electric abilities like Kande, Gakande, Kandera, Gakandera, and Kandeon. Notably, both Mage and Wizard can use these skills, while the Magic Knight possesses the Magic Knight’s Hammer, which also inflicts Electric damage.
You can find Green Elementa in Oceania and while on the road, as long as there’s Inclement weather.
Golden Elementa weakness
The Golden Elemental is vulnerable to abilities related to wind, including Cyclone, Gacyclo, Cyclo, Gacyc, and their variants like Gacyclone. Typically, characters such as The Seeker and the Magic Seeker can utilize these skills.
Golden Elementa can be discovered along the edges of Virga Island and on its roads, especially during unfavorable or harsh weather conditions.
If some of the spells mentioned earlier are still eluding you, work on strengthening your connection with your companions to unveil all Archetypes that include those spells. Additionally, if your battle with Elementa drained your Magic Points, here’s a rundown of methods to restore your MP bar.
