As an ardent fan of international television, I find myself utterly enthralled by the impending Spanish-language adaptation of the globally acclaimed series “Call My Agent.” The fact that it boasts a stellar cast led by Javier Gutiérrez, Marta Hazas, and Manuela Velasco is enough to pique anyone’s curiosity.
The popular series “Call My Agent” is preparing for a stylish Spanish-language remake, featuring two-time Goya Award winner Javier Gutiérrez (“La Isla Mínima,” “El Autor”), Marta Hazas (“Velvet,” “Días mejores”), and Manuela Velasco (two-time Goya Award winner from “Velvet”). This new version will star these talented actors.
The television series, set in Madrid, is being developed by Good Mood (a production company owned by Mediawan Spain). This studio has previously worked on shows like “I’m Alive,” “The Fence,” “The Accident,” and “Deudas.” Alongside this, the Spanish branch of Mediaset, Telecinco, is co-producing the show and has also commissioned it.
Filming for our series begins in just two weeks, right here in Madrid. Daniel Écija takes on the role of executive producer. Further details about the cast and guest appearances will be shared at a future time.
The French television series known as “10 Pour Cent” garnered exceptional ratings over four seasons on France Television, our local broadcaster, and was even the most-watched show on Netflix. Critics also praised it, awarding it an International Emmy. This Mediawan production has since been transformed into a globally popular format, having been adapted for broadcast in over a dozen countries such as Italy, the UK, Turkey, India, and Canada.
As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that a reboot is on its way for significant Hispanic American regions! This exciting project is being jointly produced by Mediawan and the talented Eva Longoria, who will also be stepping into the director’s chair.
