As a passionate fan, I’m thrilled to share that Square Enix has unveiled fresh insights and stunning visuals for “Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.” This update includes a peek at character classes from the 2017 remaster, along with entirely new classes tailored for this remake. We also get a glimpse into the tale of the Seven Heroes, weapon skills, ley line mysteries, synthesized spells, and the intriguing storyline surrounding Mt. Comroon.

The Final Emperor

The final Emperor of Varennes, given his constraints, was capable of employing the legacy magic. This individual embodies the collective recollections and intellect of all previous Emperors in the Varennes Empire.

Weapon-Specific Techniques
Some skills are designed for specific types of weapons and can only be activated when wielding those particular weapons. These skills fall into two categories: those that become accessible once you have the weapon in your possession, and those that require a special glow (or glimmer) while using the weapon. Regardless of skill level or expertise, anyone armed with the designated weapon can utilize these weapon-specific skills.

The two weapons, named “Dayblade” for the last male Emperor and “Moonlight” for the last female Emperor, both possess unique abilities tied to their respective names. Each of these weapons has been endowed with potent techniques specific to them.

Ley Lines
On certain battlefields, you might encounter ley lines – powerful energy alignments that resonate with one of the six elements (fire, water, earth, air, light, or dark). These lines boost the strength and healing capabilities of abilities matching their element for both friend and foe. A visual icon in the upper right corner signals the presence of a ley line. You can disrupt these lines by employing abilities of the opposite element.

Pyro/Hydro, Aero/Terro, and Cosmo/Umbro are opposite ley line element types, respectively.
New Synthesized Spells
This title features not only new regular spells, such as “Water Blast” and “Pulverize,” but also a new mechanic: Synthesized Spells, which are powerful spells combining two different spell schools (elements).

The Seven Heroes
Wagnas

As one enthralled admirer might put it, I stand as the Commander of the Seven Brave Souls. My mission is to seize control of Yauda in search of the reviled Ancients, with the aerial citadel, the Drifting Fortress, serving as my bastion. In terms of skills, I am a maestro in pyrology, aerology, and cosmology. They say that once human, I was a noble-hearted spirit, ready to lay down my life for global tranquility.

Noel

Among the Seven Heroes, there’s one who wields a sword with great skill and is currently probing the expanses of the Melu Desert. Normally, he’s quite courteous, but when his cherished sister Rocbouquet suffers harm, his temper flares up. It’s rumored that in his previous life, he was a soldier who bravely sacrificed himself to shield people from the merciless termites.

Subier

One character among the Seven Noble Heroes is Subier, a relative of Wagnas who holds dominion over a fortress in the Frozen Sea, located past the Nazelle Strait. Known as the “Master of the Oceans,” he yearns for increased influence and conspires to annex the daughter of Narwhal, the acknowledged Sovereign of the Seas. According to legend, Subier, once a man, treasured his relationship with Wagnas above all else and engaged in a life-or-death struggle against the termites.

Dantarg

Among the Seven Valiant Characters, there’s one who doesn’t yearn for vengeance against the Ancients. Instead, his ambition lies in obtaining supreme power and assimilating the mighty. In his past life as a human, tales tell of him joining the military upon Wagnas’ orders to eradicate the ants. His name was known far and wide for his ruthless tactics and unmatched firmness and strength while serving as a general.

Rocbouquet

The sole female among the Seven Heroes is also Noel’s younger sibling. She employs a special and potent ability known as Temptation to captivate others and get them to carry out her orders. Legend has it that when she was still human, she practiced swordsmanship tirelessly to aid Noel, whom she deeply respects, and Wagnas, for whom she harbors affection.

Bokhohn

One of the Seven Noble Heroes hails from a mobile Landship Citadel that traverses the vast Steppe plains. He possesses an intellect that borders on arrogance, often employing crafty tactics when necessary. Legend has it that he once ventured to Wagnas, seeking recognition, wealth, and prestige. In exchange for his mental prowess, he offered his services as a hero to the land.

Kzinssie

Among the Seven Valiant Figures, one is known to have sparked the conflict between the Emperor and themselves. This individual provoked the clash by sanctioning an attack on the imperial city of Avalon, resulting in the death of Victor, the eldest prince. There are tales that speak of his past life, where he was scorned by both the Ancients and his fellow Seven Heroes due to his unjust and vengeful behavior.

Battles against the Seven Heroes
Every one of the Seven Warriors possesses a distinct, potent ability that solidifies their roles as formidable fighters. These special abilities can be foreseen in advance on the timeline, which means employing appropriate defenses and utilizing ley lines strategically will be crucial for success.

Prequel to the Seven Heroes
Through interacting with the pieces of “The Memories of the Seven Champions” dispersed globally, gamers will catch a glimpse of historical moments where these seven champions were once beloved by the masses, stories that haven’t been shown in the original or enhanced editions of the game.
The recollections reveal why the Seven Champions turned adversaries of humanity, and assembling all the scattered memory pieces could lead to something extraordinary happening.
The collected memories can also be replayed in the Library of the Imperial University.
