Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Donate $1 Million to Hurricanes Helene and Milton Relief Efforts

As a seasoned movie buff with a soft spot for behind-the-scenes tales, I can’t help but admire Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds not just for their acting prowess, but also for their compassionate hearts. Their consistent generosity towards various humanitarian causes, especially during times of crisis, is truly commendable.

Actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have given a total of one million dollars in aid to help those affected by hurricanes Helene and Milton, causing destruction in places like Florida and North Carolina.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are appreciated for contributing $1 million towards our Hurricanes Helene and Milton disaster relief fund. Previously, their consistent backing of Feeding America during emergencies has proven beneficial to our on-site operations before, during, and after disasters. This donation will assist food banks in delivering essentials such as water, ready-to-eat meals, and supplies to communities that have suffered devastating losses and are facing a lengthy recovery process,” stated Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America.

At least seven individuals have lost their lives in Florida as a result of Hurricane Milton, according to The New York Times, while the death toll from Hurricane Helene has climbed to over 227 people. Following its destruction in Florida, Hurricane Milton is now headed towards the Bahamas, leaving behind catastrophic flooding and tearing off the roof of Tampa’s Tropicana Field stadium, which was being used as a shelter for rescue workers.

In October, at the onset of the Israel-Hamas conflict, the stars of “It Ends With Us” (Lively) and “Deadpool” (Reynolds) generously contributed $1 million to the International Committee of the Red Cross, specifically for the benefit of children in both Israel and Palestine. They were among various celebrities who made donations during the actors’ strike, to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation.

During the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic, I too chose to lend a helping hand by donating $1 million, equally divided between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. Moreover, I have been actively supporting various causes close to my heart. For instance, I’ve contributed to Water First Education & Training, an organization that focuses on providing safe water, and the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
