Henry Cavill to Star in ‘Voltron’ at Amazon MGM

As a long-time fan of action-packed films and a follower of Henry Cavill‘s career, I can confidently say that his inclusion in “Voltron” is a masterstroke by Amazon MGM Studios! With his impressive resume, ranging from the iconic Superman to Wolverine, Cavill has proven time and again that he can bring any character to life with his charisma and raw talent.

Henry Cavill has been confirmed to join the cast of “Voltron” on Amazon MGM Studios, alongside previously announced actor Daniel Quinn-Toye. In simpler terms, we can say that Henry Cavill will be appearing in the same movie as Daniel Quinn-Toye, which is being produced by Amazon MGM Studios and is titled “Voltron”.

Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing the film from a script he wrote with Ellen Shanman.

At the moment, specifics about the storyline are being kept confidential. The production is overseen by Todd Lieberman through Hidden Pictures, Bob Koplar, Rawson Marshall Thurber, and David Hoberman from Hobie Films.

The “Voltron” TV series centers around a group of astronauts controlling a massive robot. Originating from multiple Japanese anime TV shows produced by Toei Animation, it has led to numerous American spin-offs, including the eight-season Netflix show called “Voltron: Legendary Defender.

Henry Cavill has recently made a guest appearance as the character “Cavillrine,” a variant of Wolverine, in this summer’s “Deadpool and Wolverine.” In 2024, you can see him in two more films: Matthew Vaughn’s “Argylle” and Guy Ritchie’s “The Unrefined Warfare Unit.

Next up, Cavill will appear in two upcoming films: “Highlander,” directed by Chad Stahelski for Lionsgate, and “In The Grey,” directed by Ritchie. Additionally, he will serve as an executive producer for the entire “Warhammer 40,000” franchise across all Amazon MGM Studios’ productions.

Cavill is represented by WME and 2PM Sharp.

The Hollywood Reporter was first to report the news.
