BobbyPoff claims PC check found “no evidence” of hacking after Warzone ban

As someone who has spent countless hours streaming Call of Duty: Warzone and building a community around it, I can empathize with BobbyPoff‘s situation. The allegation of cheating is not only frustrating but also damaging to one’s reputation.

Following his ban on Call of Duty due to the Ricochet anti-cheat system, Twitch streamer BobbyPoff firmly refutes cheating allegations. He now asserts that a third-party PC verification tool has backed him up, finding no trace whatsoever of hacking software in his system.

On Thursday, October 3rd, Poff shared on social media a screenshot of him playing Warzone, stating that his gaming account had received a permanent ban within the game.

He stated that during the 90 or more days he’s been playing Warzone, he hasn’t cheated at all. And, he’s still not been told the reason for this.

Permanently barred from Call of Duty, yet I’ve never once cheated during my extended playtime of over 90 days in Warzone. They won’t explain their reasoning, but we continue to keep playing and improving!

Over the ensuing days, there’s been a flurry of speculation, dialogue, and scrutiny aimed at Bobby as well as the anti-cheat system.

As a devoted admirer, I found myself utterly astonished when rumors swirled about my favorite streamer potentially engaging in hacking activities. Frankly, it seemed almost unthinkable, and left many of us speculating if perhaps this was just an unfortunate oversight in the ban system.

At that point, Bobby suggested it might have been because he allowed others to boost his character levels, which in turn might mean those individuals employed hacks or cheats on his account.

It’s clear that he firmly asserted he had not taken any actions that might compromise his honesty or moral standards.

A few days after October 9th, I hopped back onto my stream, stating that I’d given a third-party PC verifier access to my computer. I went way back, all the way to 2001, and they couldn’t find any signs of wrongdoing.

During my inspection, I didn’t discover any software that could be classified as a cheat under any definition, software designed to secure an unfair advantage in competition, or software intended to undermine fair play and competition integrity, Bobby stated.

He mentioned that the sole indication of software functioning as cheatware could be his foot pedal, which he uses to switch communication on and off.

It seems there was absolutely no indication that anything was erased, nor any attempt by Bobby to conceal his actions, evidently.

He clarified that his account had been permanently banned, a consequence of “unauthorized access and tampering with game information.” This issue, according to him, was reportedly traced back to an internal staff member investigating the matter.

For the content creator, the long-term consequences are yet to unfold, but given that he has cultivated his audience on Warzone, it could prove challenging to recover reputation-wise after allegations of hacking, particularly if a ban is imposed.
