16-Bit Slasher 'Camp Sunshine' Comes To Consoles

As a seasoned gamer with decades of gaming under my belt, I must say that the release of Fossil Games’ 16-bit slasher horror gem, Camp Sunshine, on consoles after eight long years is nothing short of a delightful surprise! Being an avid fan of retro horror games and movies, this love letter to the 80s is right up my alley.

After an eight-year wait, Fossil Games’ chilling 16-bit slasher horror game titled Camp Sunshine has finally made its console debut! Beginning today, you can purchase the game on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, as well as Xbox One and the latest Xbox Series X/S. For those who prefer gaming on their PC, Camp Sunshine has been available on Steam since October 2016, earning a 9/10 rating from players.

Camp Sunshine follows in the footsteps of Sunshine Manor, an 8-bit horror RPG that was released. In Camp Sunshine, players take on the role of Jez, who’s venturing through a grisly summer camp while dodging a serial killer. Jez will delve into the mystery behind the Summer Camp Slasher while avoiding unsettling horrors. This “homage to classic horror films” – as developers put it – is a game of cat and mouse, featuring narrative elements, challenges, and puzzles.

At last, we’re thrilled to announce that Camp Sunshine is making its way to consoles! The anticipation among our fans has been immense, and we can hardly contain our excitement. At long last, players will be able to immerse themselves in our tribute to the horror films of the 80s – Camp Sunshine is ready and waiting for you!” said Paul from Fossil Games in a press release.
