As a seasoned Dragon Ball fan with countless hours spent mastering the art of combat in various games, I must say that the Into a Third Future story mission in Sparking Zero has truly tested my mettle. The battle against Fused Zamasu is undoubtedly one of the most challenging encounters I’ve faced yet!
In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, there are numerous story missions that deviate from the original anime’s plotline, presenting alternate story branches. Achieving the canonical ending of “Into a Third Future” can be quite challenging.
Finishing “A Third Future” arc in “Sparking Zero” can be quite challenging. Apart from battling Zamasu and Goku Black, this mission tasks players with overcoming the fearsome Fused Zamasu form as well.
In the “Future Trunks” Storyline, Fused Zamasu serves as the main adversary. He considers himself a divine being, viewing Saiyans and mortals as unworthy of coexisting on Earth. Conquering this formidable foe is no simple task, as many players have shared their difficulties in obtaining the canonical conclusion. Here’s a breakdown of how to finish both storylines:
Canon ending: Beat Fused Zamasu
In order to achieve the canonical conclusion of “Into a Third Future”, you’ll have to defeat both Zamasu and Goku Black after they’ve fused, all within the given time frame. Much like in the “A New Power Awakens” scenario, speed is crucial for success.
To quickly overcome Fused Zamasu, master your evasive maneuvers, counterattacks, and offensive strategies. It’s quite challenging due to his immense power as a Fusion, but with some expertly timed ultimate combos and the boost from Goku and Vegeta’s fusion (Vegito), you should be able to emerge victorious.
After reducing Fused Zamasu’s health to nothing, a scene will unfold where Trunks collects the ki of the remaining mortals, boosting his sword with it to slay Zamasu. But when Goku calls him, Supreme Kai Zen-Oh decides to annihilate the planet instead. In response, Goku and his comrades hastily dash to the time machine and flee.
Upon completing the cannon route, you’ll receive 15,000 Zeni and Player EXP.
Alternate ending: The Three Prevail
In the different ending for Into Third Future, you don’t manage to defeat Fused Zamasu before the time runs out. After the fight with Fused Zamasu, a brief cutscene is shown and Goku and Vegeta merge together, transforming into Vegito. Continue battling against Fused Zamasu until you emerge victorious.
This ending is much easier to achieve, as you don’t need to beat them within any given time limit.
Upon completing the alternate route, you’ll receive 1000 Zeni and Player EXP.
