Dead Cells: Immortalis First Episode Is Finally Available With English Dubbing

As a die-hard fan of Dead Cells and everything related to it, I must say that my excitement level has reached new heights with the release of the English dubbed version of Dead Cells: Immortalis! Having spent countless hours navigating the treacherous corridors and battling hordes of enemies in the game, I feel like I’ve already lived a lifetime within its dark and twisted world.

The animated show inspired by Motion Twin and Evil Empire’s game Dead Cells is set to stream on certain platforms with a newly dubbed English version. Originally launched in French back in June 2024, the series “Dead Cells: Immortalis” later included English and German subtitles. Now, good news for English-speaking fans as an English-dubbed version is scheduled to be released soon by the developers of Dead Cells.

Excitingly enough, here I am, thrilled to share that the moment has come! The Animation Digital Network (ADM) has unveiled the English dubbed version for the initial episode of our beloved animated series, ready for streaming or viewing right away. As I type this, a total of ten episodes are accessible in French with dubbing and English subtitles through ADM, and we’re eagerly awaiting additional episodes to follow suit with English dubbing soon.

As stated in a recent post by Motion Twin developers, Dead Cells: Immortalis is an action comedy animated series set on a mysteriously cursed island. This island has been beset by a peculiar plague following the reckless actions of its foolish king who, in a desperate attempt to cure the affliction, accidentally transformed the entire population into monstrous beings. Legends foretell a hero with flaming hair, destined to slay the deranged ruler.

The debut, English-dubbed episode of the animated series “Dead Cells: Immortalis,” originally produced by French studio Bobbypins, is now accessible on ADM’s streaming platform and YouTube channel. Initially launched in June, the show had exclusive airing rights in France prior to its global release featuring English and German subtitles.

1) The animation in the show has garnered a variety of opinions, with some finding it suitable for the series, while others think it could have mimicked the game’s art style for a more cohesive presentation. Interestingly, the creators behind Dead Cells: Immortalis are also known for Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix – a spinoff series from Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which you can watch on Netflix.
