Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson wrote the script. The producers are Smith, Kelly McCormick, and David Leitch from 87North. Negotiations are underway for Jon Mone (co-president of motion pictures) and Ryan Shimazaki to produce this project for Westbrook Studios, with James Lassiter also involved.

Executive producers are Robert Simonds and Noah Fogelson for STXfilms, and Barry Waldman.

In 1995, Michael Bay and Will Smith collaborated on the movie “Bad Boys,” which marked Bay’s first full-length directorial project. This film was a hit commercially and led to three follow-ups: “Bad Boys II,” “Bad Boys for Life,” and “Bad Boys: Ride or Die.

In the year 2021, Smith was awarded an Oscar for his portrayal of Richard Williams in “King Richard.” The following year, he graced our screens in Apple’s production titled “Emancipation.” Upcoming projects include a role in Sony Pictures’ upcoming sci-fi thriller, “Resistor,” which is adapted from Daniel Suarez’s 2014 novel “Influx.

Bay, known for his work on the “Transformers” series and “Pearl Harbor”, is in negotiations to produce the animated internet sensation “Skibidi Toilet” for both TV and cinema, alongside former Paramount Pictures president Adam Goodman. His debut docuseries, “Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior”, is set to air on Labor Day through Investigation Discovery. Bay is currently managed by Range Media Partners.

Deadline was first to report the news.
