Rapper Kodak Black’s first Kick stream goes up in flames as car catches fire

As a gamer who has been around the block more times than I care to remember, I can’t help but shake my head at the antics of these modern-day celebrities on livestreaming platforms like Kick. I’ve seen it all: from car chases in GTA to actual car crashes in real life!

In a unique event, rap artist Kodak Black made his debut on a live stream via Kick, an experience marked by the unexpected occurrence of his car catching fire at the start.

Over the past few years, the celebrity-backed streaming platform known as Kick has experienced a significant surge in popularity, attracting numerous well-known personalities and trendsetters to its ranks.

As a gamer, I hopped onto the Kick platform for the very first time last October 6, 2024, thinking it’d be an exciting debut. However, things didn’t quite go as expected.

Initially, the stream showed the rapper and his companions standing by their flaming vehicle as the fire department worked to put out the flames.

The cameraman exclaimed, “This vehicle suddenly ignited,” as they were traveling on the highway. Kodak stopped the car because it was behaving erratically, and before you knew it, it burst into flames.

For 45 minutes, Kodak Black and his group scrutinized the charred vehicle and assessed the extent of the damage following the fire department’s extinguishing of the blaze.

Snippets from the stream became widely popular on social platforms, sparking numerous discussions as people expressed their opinions about what was happening.

“We got Kodak sparking a kick stream before GTA 6,” one user said.

Another chimed in: “That’s some crazy start to a stream.”

It was noted by others that a car-related event similar to what happened with Jack Doherty had occurred on Kick earlier in the day, which resulted in him being banned from the platform.

During a rainy drive in his luxury McLaren 520S supercar on the highway, Doherty unexpectedly lost grip and collided with a safety railing.

“Bro, my whole f**king car, bro. No f**king way,” he said while filming the wreckage.

Rapidly, the incident sparked strong criticism from other content creators on the platform, as fellow Twitch streamer xQc labeled Doherty “mindless,” while 100 Thieves founder Nadeshot advocated for his removal from all monetization sources.
