Kagurabachi has one major similarity with Jujutsu Kaisen

As a long-time fan of both Kagurabachi and Jujutsu Kaisen, I find myself drawn to the striking similarities between these two captivating manga series. The introduction of Hiruhiko in the Sword Bearer Assassination Arc of Kagurabachi seems eerily reminiscent of the infamous villain Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen.

At the moment, the ongoing storyline of Kagurabachi includes a new character who bears an uncanny resemblance to a well-known antagonist from Jujutsu Kaisen.

In the current Sword Bearer Assassination Arc of Kagurabachi manga, the story initiates when Chihiro expresses a desire to be part of the Kamunabi group. Additionally, Hakuri’s recently activated Storehouse proves invaluable as Chihiro aims to communicate with past wielders of Enchanted Blades, intending to move these weapons away from the Hishaku region.

In the latest chapter (Kagurabachi Chapter 52), Hiruhiko, one of the primary sorcerers in Hishaku, is further explored. Fans find a striking resemblance between his character dynamics with Chihiro and the relationship between Yuji and Mahito from Jujutsu Kaisen. This villain, driven by a thirst for battle and bloodshed, is also known for his sadistic tendencies.

The chapter ends with Hiruhiko saying he is the only who can understand Chihiro, making the latter extremely annoyed. In Jujutsu Kaisen, Mahito often speaks about how he and Yuji are similar.

A well-known translator of JJK notes, “It’s great to see that I’m not alone in recognizing the resemblance between Hiruhiko and Mahito, as many Japanese fans have also pointed out. Their shared facial features, along with their casual interactions with ordinary people in theaters and cinemas, are striking. Interestingly, they both seem to appreciate human culture…

It’s clear that viewers have pointed out the resemblance between the wicked character in JJK and the latest antagonist in Kagurabachi. One individual expressed, “Hokazono does an outstanding job with every villain thus far. Indeed, Hiruhiko seems to be a rendition of a Mahito-like villain in KaguraBachi, I find him appealing!

This person is excited for Hiruhiko!! They wish everyone would treat him as an individual character, rather than just seeing him as a reincarnation of Mahito.

A third person comments, “Hiruhiko’s confrontation with Chihiro intrigues me. He seems to be trying to demonstrate their shared traits, but Chihiro is reluctant to acknowledge it. It reminds me strongly of the relationship between Yuji and Mahito.
