As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent slashing my way through various games, I can confidently say that Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 mode has always been one of my favorites, and the recent announcement of class customization for killers has me absolutely thrilled!
In the upcoming update for Dead by Daylight’s 2v4 mode, the developers have made some improvements over the initial release. One of the exciting changes is that killers will now be able to select their own class, which will influence their gameplay experience. Here you can find all the available killer classes in Dead by Daylight’s 2v4 mode and what each one offers:
Dead by Daylight 2v8: All Killer Classes
There are four killer classes in Dead by Daylight’s 2v8 mode:
- Shadow: This class focuses on the element of surprise, encouraging stealthy plays from killers.
- Brute: A chase-focused class, Brute allows killers to easily injure survivors during tense moments.
- Enforcer: This class focuses on finishing off survivors that their partner has already injured. In other words, the Enforcer is designed to go in for the kill.
- Fearmonger: Killers with this class tend to stay hidden throughout the match, similar to Shadow, but their strength comes most in their map mobility.
How Do Killer Classes Work?
In every 2 versus 8 match, each assassin gets to select a role prior to the battle, ensuring no two killers pick the same role. These assassin roles function similarly to survivor roles, influencing the killer’s gameplay and providing them with distinct advantages based on their chosen role.
Regardless of their specific talents, all assassins can choose from various classes at their disposal. For instance, you might amplify a stealthy assassin’s abilities by teaming them with a class like Shadow or Fearmonger. Alternatively, you could opt for an unconventional pairing by matching them with the Brute or Enforcer classes to address any potential weaknesses.
Beyond the imminent updates, players can anticipate additional maps for both survivors and killers to traverse, along with fresh characters to play as killers. From November 12th, 2024, through November 26th, 2024, gamers will have an opportunity to test the revamped 2v8 mode in Dead by Daylight.
